My husband birth certificate name spelling was mis spelled by 2 letters compared to his passport name. and I he has affidavit for it . my doubt as follow.....

Do i need to mention his mis spelled name in  "other name used" (under other name beneficiary ever used).  He never used mis spelled name in any certificate, only appear in my birth certificate. Appreciate your comment. Thanks

That is what we did for our forms! My husband's name is different on his birth certificate so we listed that name in the "other names used".

Thanks chi_rinze.. I will do the same.

Hi chi_rinze,

one more doubt... do we need to submit petitioner employment history proof? ( I mean employment letter from last 5 years employer? ) I worried my employer will not give me employment letter.

So we filed in December 2019 so I don’t 100% remember every single detail. But on the application I (petitioner) listed the company name, dates employed and my title for the company. I referred to some YouTube videos on how others filled theirs out and found that to be super helpful. Also I believe Boundless has guides on their websites on what to include/what is needed; however, we didn’t use them to file.

Best of luck to you! I’ll try to answer any other questions you may have 😊

You don’t need employment letters for the I130 petition, just need to list the places you’ve worked at

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date

  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail

So we used a Cashier’s Check from my bank, I’m not sure if that’s what you’re referring to? We did it that way so the money was withdrawn immediately versus when using a personal check.
