NVC Civil Documents official list?

Hey all,

I'm just trying to find the official NVC civil documents list for the Philippines. I already checked the guide here but many of the links are broken and don't work and some things are outdated.

1). Is there a list on an NVC website that shows exactly what's needed specific to the US Embassy in Manila, Philippines?

2). Also my 2nd concern is that on the CEAC site I haven't yet finished the DS-260 but on the "Civil Documents" column its shows "N/A." Does the NVC have me upload the civil documents or how will I send them?

Thanks!

Yes this NVC Guide here is so OUTDATED it drives me bonkers. I wish someone would do a new one. But yes on the department of states website there's a "document finder" for your specific country. Here's the link and then find your country and underneath will have all the documents that NVC requires of you and types from your country.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html

and here's for the Philippines https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Philippines.html

Also yes the NVC wants you to upload all your civil documents but also bring all your originals in paper to the actual interview at the embassy.

Here is how the NVC wants you to scan and upload them

Good Luck to you :)

Thank you so much for all the information, extremely helpful!

1). I just wanted to clarify some things, on this link https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html That is the list of civil documents to upload for the NVC

2). If I go to the "document finder" that is for the specific country requirements for each of those documents they ask for right? Such as PSA for the Philippines?

Thanks!

Your very welcome :)

1. Yes that's the list of civil documents that NVC wants you to upload to their website for the documents that apply to you. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html

2. Yes on this website https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Philippines.html if you click on the specific document types that applies to what your needing to send in. It will tell you EXACTLY what type of document is accepted by the NVC and where to find them from your government, like what issuing authority, what type of document, if it needs a steal or certified. Its a really handy tool that makes sure you always send in the correct document.

Just make sure you read everything and double check always to make sure you have gathered everything you need and the right documents. Good Luck again :)

I really appreciate the effort you put into helping me! I will probably get everything gathered and then post it here in the forums to double check with everyone here hehe. I am OCD like that lol.

Your welcome I'm glad I could help in some way 😊

I totally understand I'm the same way I think of all these questions and get myself all anxious. If you have more questions I'll try my best to help you if I can.

I know this thread is 9 month old but still relevant. I have gathered civil documents and would like to see if I forgot something. I always get very helpful tips here, which I appreciate a lot.

Here are the documents I will be uploading:

  1. Passport bio page
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Marriage certificate
  4. Visa photos
  5. NBI clearance with AKA
  6. Divorce decree
  7. CEMAR

Is there anything else I should add? B1/B2 visa? Other visas?
