I-130 passport number or travel document number?

I'm preparing my wife's i-130 and in the section about the beneficiaries immigration information it asks for a passport number, a travel document number, and an expiration date of one of the two. My wife has a passport and a B1/B2 border crossing card visa. Should I put both the passport number and the B1/B2 visa number? For which document should I put the expiration date? Thanks!

The passport number.   A person either has a passport or a substitute temporary travel document.

This question applies to an online I-130 filing but for paper filing no passport or other document information is needed unless the beneficiary is currently in the US.

Ah ok, thanks! My wife has a passport that expired at the end of 2019 and a brand new passport that she hasn't used to go into the U.S. yet. Should we use the old passport on the i-130 and just bring the old one and the new one at the interview later, or should we just use the brand new one that she hasn't used to cross the border yet?

The valid one.  It's a present tense question.  Enter a present tense answer.
