Hi Everyone! My husband had interview on 1st August 2019, Embassy kept passport, asked for few documents. We upload on Ceac. It was going through Administrative processing for 7 months. Today Status changed from Administrative processing to Refused. Please tell me what does it means? What I do now?  No emails from Embassy. ( I’m Green Card Holder )

It means they denied his visa, he can contact the US consulate / embassy to find out what happened, the denial reasons and if he is eligible for a waiver. They will contact him soon anyways. Good luck.

The same happened to our case today too, as well as the bulk of others waiting in AP, apparently. According to a post I just read from an immigration lawyer on Facebook, it is a new way of stating that cases under AP are considered refused until AP is over, hence the "Refused" status. I emailed my embassy just now to double check though.

I-129F Sent: 12/29/17

I-129F NOA 1: 1/4/18

I-129F NOA 2: 7/9/18

NVC Received: 7/18/18

Consulate Received: 8/9/18

Packet 3 Received: 8/13/18

Interview Date: 9/20/18

Interview Result: Administrative Processing

*Visitor's visa interview: December 2016, called back by embassy for second interview on same visa application in January 2019 - visitor's visa finally issued May 2019.

*Fiance visa placed in administrative processing September 2018.

*Beneficiary's Country: Norway via Iran.

I take is that the "application" was refused, but not the Visa, as it was refused for some error or missing documentation, etc.  If it were "denied" that would most likely mean the end of the journey.  Just my opinion.

The sentence to pay attention to in the US Dept. of State's notice is: "If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing." So nothing really changed as I assume we/our family members were already told this at the end of the original embassy interview.
