Please help me understand as I am panicking right now. My mom had her interview Feb 11 at USEM in Manila,  the consul kept her passport and ask her to make a change on the DS-260 online form, which was done the day that embassy opened the form online (Feb. 11). It was in Administrative Processing since then. I followed up on Feb. 26 - seems like they looked at her application again that day but still in AP., until yesterday, Mar 2, the status was in AP. However, I checked again today and the status changed to REFUSED but with the same date that they last opened it, which was FEB. 26. DID ANYBODY ELSE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE? WHAT IS ACTUALLY GOING ON AND I AM SO CONFUSED!!! Is it the corona virus or something else?? The consul upon her interview told her that everything looks good and even told her not to worry because the additional requested info online is an easy fix!

Mine has been in AP since my interview and even up to this morning but I checked few minutes ago and saw refused, quite a few members on here are having the same issue, not sure of the reason but I’m just hoping it’s a system glitch or something other than a denial.

Mine too was in Administrative Processing last night and today same date but “refused”. I was at work had a panic attack crying I had to go home. Seeing all your messages is giving me hope I’ve been inconsolable.

That is not a system glitch. That is a new format that the ceac guys are following now. Because technically AP is a visa refusal so they are using that technicality on the status updates now. This has been going on since February if my mind serves me right. No need to panic. If you were handed an AP form, that supersedes the ceac site and once you fulfill the requirements from the AP letter, your case will resume.
