can a person who filed for vawa and is still waiting for a decision on i-360 return without any problems to the US with her advanced parole during this time of pandemic? has anyone here been in that situation?

It's hard to predict especially this time when everything change so quick, I saw some people on other forums who can't come back to US (not sure from where) with advanced parole due to pandemic but I also saw people who traveling without problem. Whether you are approved or not you may travel anywhere as long as you have valid advanced parole but still nobody guarantee you entrance back.
PS my lawyer said not to do that

the category of the work permit is c31

My attorney says he has to receive the notice of approval before he can put in my green card application . @sandranj please does the Work permit C31 means Vawa ia approved ?(because reading from the forum that is what I understand ). Kindly advice please

I wish everyone on this forum all the best and i do hope we all get approved be it on Vawa, work permit, green card and citizenship.

Thank you so much for your reply! That’s such a relief to know, I somehow thought I would had to pay more than $2250 total but that amount is totally doable! Yay!😊 (will double check current fee for 2020)

My waiver too was denied, and the fee is still 1225, if you are filing 765,131 and485 together. At least as of last week lol. So you'll be good

I’m going through my application one last time to make sure it doesn’t get sent back to me, there’s one area that’s still a bit unclear and not sure which box to check off since I did file a form I-765 once for my OPT while I was still in school.

This will be my first time applying for VAWA/AOS

I-765
Reason for applying:

Initial or renewal?

Have you previously filed I-765:

Do I check off for yes?

And eligibility category c09 is ok? Read it’s quicker than c31 and curious if the concurrent fee filing also applies if I put c09

Thanks a lot!

Yes if the EAD is category C31 it means the VAWA application was approved.

Reason for applying is INITIAL.You are not renewing the EAD based  on your OPT.

Check yes.On the last page explain that you filed EAD before based on your OPT.Choose category C9.

You need to see if your Country is not on the travel ban list, to reenter the U.S, because of coronavirus

Thank you again, @sandranj. You are amazing!

I received c31 ead last week and also have valid c09 ead. Is it okay if i have 2 eads now and which one should I renew before 6 months of expiration?

waiting for notification on I-360 now (as it did not say it was approved after c31 was issued)...

Good day all,

How is everyone and I hope we are all staying safe during this hard time.

I am a Dec 2018 filer

I got RFE letter in the mail today.

Asking for evidence for:

1. Shared Residence

2. Battery an/or Extreme Cruelty

3. Good faith of marriage.

I would appreciate any input that can help me put together the evidence in a timely manner.

Also, there is a believe that if you respond to RFE too soon, they may ask for more evidence which make some people wait till the last minute before responding. Could this be true, please advise.

I would appreciate any helpful response.

Thanks and God protect us all!!!

respond to RFE too soon

If you have all the complete and correct information that they want, there's no such thing as responding too soon.  The longer you wait to send it, the longer it will take until they can resume processing your papers.

However, responding incompletely is quite the opposite.  Read instructions carefully, interpret them literally, and respond honestly, completely, and accurately.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

What evidence did you send with your application when you applied? How long/detailed was your affidavit and your psych eval? Off the cuff, you most likely will need to redo both of those at the very least. It may also help to read some of the first few parts of the vawa threads especially 1-12 for more information of how others have handled it.
