How was your experience with the ombudsman? I am to reach out to them next week because my case will be out of processing time. And I have already reached out to my congressman and they couldn’t find any updates

I had reached out to the ombudsman man I could not get any updates on my i765 after waiting for over a year for the EAD. I filled out the form and they emailed me they received it and within two weeks of doing that I got my EAD approval and then the ombudsman office emailed my confirmation I got the EAD. I know it’s a totally different petition but before that I had contacted my congressman man sign the release form and all that and they were no help I was calling them for update and the person that had my case never seem to be in office. They are a mess.

Hello,

my advise to you would be to get in contact with your congressman or the ombudsman (I can say because of my personal experience I think the ombudsman would be more effective). But they are working on 2018 filers so I believe you should get a update soon. And getting a new Prima Facie that ends in 180 days don’t necessarily mean you won’t get it before the 180. In January they sent my a prima facie that ends in 180 days and I got approved this month. But rest assure your time is coming 🙏🏾

I already contacted the congressman twice and we get the same response case pending security checks and we don’t know how long this will take !!

Anything that will move your case forward is recommended. Can't wait for all this to be over so you can get your GC! Be cautious of how long you're staying out there. Try and return to the States soon as you're able to! Be safe!😘

You should also note that due to the situation of your case..(pending security checks) it's not being deliberately held up by USCIS thus the proposed mandamus order may not be the best solution! At this point, you just have to be patient..your approval is sure! Always check regularly for news through your rep and attorney..the pace of the security checks can not be influenced unfortunately!👍

My security check toke 2 years and a couple of months, during that time i was dealing with a lot anxiety and stress.

During that time every time i reach out to my lawyer she was sayin there is nothing that can be done we are reaching out but that was a lie, she only reach out to the USCIS 3 times for 3 years :( Then she said we can do mandamus but it can end bad and she wanted to charge me a lot of money to do that, so i decided to wait no matter how hard it was, at the end my WAVA got approved thanks to god 🙏. Long story short all i can say have patience if you can if nor file a mandamus this is all up to you. Hope everything works out for you and you get your approval soon
