Here is the timeline for my case;

 

10/05/2018    Application packet sent to USCIS consisting of I-360, I-485 and I-765

10/10/2018    USCIS received I-360, I-485 and I-765

12/04/2018   USCIS Requested for additional evidence for Form I-360.

01/03/2019   USCIS received documents requested for RFE

01/11/2019   Status been updated as Fees waived for I-485 and I-765

06/07/2019   USCIS issued EAD card (C-09) based on I-765 application.

04/10/2020   USCIS has updated I-360 case status as "New Card Is Being Produced" 

04/10/2020   USCIS has updated I-485 case status as "Case transferred to another office" 

Congratulations for your approval.!!! May I please know did you apply i765 under C09 or C31? How were your status updated for EAD? I applied for i360 ,i765(my lawyer did c31 ) in August 2019. Bio done in October and received RFE in the same month . They received RFE in December. They been silent since then.112 days already . My RFE was same as yours though. Status update for i765 and i485 is still stuck at fee were waived. No EAD , no work. This wait is killing me and lawyer said she can’t do anything about it.

Yes, My attorney submitted all three forms together, I-765 was under c-09 category and that’s why I received it by June-2019. 
 

for c-09 EAD uscis updated case status for i-765 from

”fee waived” to “new card is being produced” and I received EAD card after 10 days in mail. 

 

Now about the RFE, after submitting it in Jan-2019 they never have updated status that they received my RFE for next 17 months and then uscis directly updated my I-360’ Status to “new card is being produced”. Those 17 months of silence was too difficult to digest for me but I just kept faith in God but finally it worked out. So I am saying please pray to god sailing through this difficult time of your life, it shall too pass and you will be listening something positive from uscis. Stay strong my friend.

Your case has been transferred to your local office where it will join the queue for interview! So sit tight and pray hard!🙏😊

why uscis hasn’t changed my status for I-360 from “card is being produced” to “Approved” yet?

 

as the case has been transferred to local office that says I-360 has been approved. Right? I-360 can only get transferred to local office once it’s been approved. Is that correct ?

It's not unusual at all..it will still be updated to approved! Your case is moving forward, concentrate on that. My i360 updated to approved a month after card production update!👍

Thank you so much for ur reply. I m trying to be positive for all this time but without work life is like nightmare. N m worried cuz my lawyer send C31 not C09 . But lot of people said that i still should get c09. Fingers crossed.

Hello community - received these updates today. would you advise what they mean? Not sure what card is being prepared as I did not have I-485 interview

Congrats!!

Most likely, your C31 EAD is being produces aka your I360 is approved !!!

for I485, I think its just a communication between the 2 cases,  next steps are: 

you getting the C31 EAD followed by I360 approval notice, then your I485 being transferred to local office in 3-4 months time and then the interview according to wait time of your field office!! 

 

Please share your timeline!!

Thank youuu. I don’t think I have applied for C31 EAD or is it being issued automatically if I-360 is approved? I have got C9 EAD from pending i-485 as it was applied for.

 

Timeline is filing I-360 and I-485 in November 2018. Had rfe for prima facie in like Dec 2018 and responded few months ago.

 

My wait time at my local office is like 2 years now. Does it mean I have to wait 2 more + years?

I think you do get C31 automatically.  

Yea... that is what my understanding is, once the I360 is approved, you get in line for interview. However, it may go faster, you never know with USCIS 🤷‍♀️ I think as the others see your post, they can also give you their thoughts on that. 

 

What was your RFE? Curious, I had an RFE as well.  also, you responded to that 12/2018 RFE when?

Thank you. Did not know I will have 2 eads now. Responded to rfe like 11 months after and it was rfe for prima facie with no deadline.

Sure when your i360 is approved, you'll be receiving C31 EAD! I had two EADs as well..What exactly is your concern? Your i360 has been approved that's why you got that update. Also USCIS at this time will not require any one to physically go to any biometric centers for updated fingerprints..they will be using what they already have. I believe next steps is i485 transfer to your local office where it waits in line for interview!👍

It's valid for a year! Mine updated within a month..there's no set time..looks like cases are moving faster now..so let's see what happens in the coming weeks!👍
