This is standard, don’t worry. How long did you take to reply to RFE? What was it about, just curious

when your current prima facia expires, USCIS May or may not send you another one. If they don’t you can request it if you are using it for any purpose like aid etc or even for peace of mind. Presence or absence of Prima facia does not make your case strong or weak.

if you are using public benefits based on prima facia, then yes, you need it to continue- I think, not 100% sure

Hello family, I filed in Jan 2020 and just received my prima facie this morning. Please, what can I use it for? I live in the DMV.

You can use it for government assistance programs like financial aid, medical insurance for state, certain other cash or food programs- every state is different though.

I don’t have experience with this, I never got a prima facia (May 2019 filer) but know a bit about it.

remember: VAWA applicants do not have to be worried about public charge rule, we are exempt from it.

good luck!

Hello my Family, I'm August 20,2018 filler.i got one year PFD in September 20, 2018 valid  for one year, second PFD October 22, 2019 valid for Six months. I got another PFD yesterday April 8,2020 valid for 6 months again.

My questions are

It's a good sign to receive PFD at this stage ? Or what's going on with the case because I've seen lot of August 2018 filler approval.  Thanks

PFD is neither good nor bad, means nothing really about timeline of your case or the likelihood of approval/getting RFE.

My timeline:
December 2017 - filed I360, I485

August 2019 - RFE GMC

September 2019 - Submitted FBI clearance

Jan 2020 - I360 approval

Feb 2020 - Approval letter and C31 EAD received

Thank you

we use to live in Ohio but I moved to NYC and with this situation I can’t even travel or I know I will get something from the office and this neighbor by the house

please any idea about own affidavit I have a picture of us

That's ok..gather all you can like I said..it doesn't matter how little or insignificant you may think it is..for your own affidavit, theres no format or writing style required. Just tell the story from courtship through abuse! Explain everything in detail as if you're writing a letter to your mum narrating your ordeal! Explain why you don't have any documents. I'm reassuring you that you will be fine!😊👍

hi, has anyone in here has travelled on advanced parole and returned to the US since the pandemic started (march 20th to present). Can vawa applicants returning to the US with advanced parole be denied entry because of the corona virus pandemic?

Hi Sandra

Hope you are safe and doing well. Can you please help me to understand status of my case?

My cases  I-360 and I-485 both been updated today after 18 months and 01 day as shown in following screenshots;

I have couple of questions;

(1) "New Card is being produced"  means my VAWA got approved? If yes then why don't they change the status as "Approved" ?

(2) What does it mean by "Case transferred to another office"  ?

(3) What should I expect as the next step after this update?

 Eagerly waiting for your reply, thank you so much 🙏

New card produced means your C31 EAD is being produced because your case has been approved..it's a process, eventually it will be updated to approved! Your case(i485) has been transferred to your local office to join the queue for Greencard interview! Next step is probably courtesy letter and interview notice.👍

I have a similar question, in 2015  just before my scheduled interview for my GC/ I-485 was put on hold because of the abuse and my VAWA petition, and just recently in september 2019 my VAWA case was approved. And  my lawyer then told me that they don't need to do anything and that since my vawa is approved the next step is for my interview to be scheduled automatically, but in this case why don't i have an update on my I-485 since 2015  even after my vawa case has been approved, and if this is that correct or my lawyer is misleading me?

My second question is since all in person interview and in person services are suspended because of the COVID19 is there a chance that the interview will be waived ?
