Hi fellow VAWA petitioners!

I have a question to you all.
So, I just moved from CA to TX and in next 2-3 weeks I need to apply for EAD(c09)+AP extension.
The question is - is it mandatory to attach your governmental issued ID (in my case DL) to your EAD+AP application ?
I will attach a copy of my current EAD+AP card, but I am asking because I still have a CA DL and all DMVs are closed in my county, so I am unable to obtain local TX ID until further notice.
So, I need to verify with anybody who knows if attaching DL is mandatory? Or previous EAD card is enough?
Please advise.

In I765 instructions on USCIS website it says: Attach a copy of your last EAD (front and back). If you were not previously issued an EAD, you must submit a copy of a government-issued identity document (such as a passport) showing your picture, name, and date of birth; a birth certificate with photo ID.

So sounds like DL copy is not needed if I were previously issued EAD.

Thank you and stay safe!

You don't have to submit a copy of your DL.

did you get your letter yet?

I am still waiting for mine.

Hi,

I received the letter today. USCIS don't say a s*** about the inquiry. It says " We cannot give you any information about your case. Please send a letter signed by yourself to Vermont".

I sent a written letter one month ago so, basically we don't have more options.

@Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj @Touna @Modu .. I’m still patiently waiting to be approved for my i360..it’s been over a year now ...and I also have a question..I want to ask if the EAD will start reading from the day it came out or the day that the extension letter expires which is the 180 days ..is that they date that the renewal of EAD will start reading?? and I dnt know why I dnt receive any mail in my address ..actually I’m using my lawyers address and everything is going there ..I thought they are to send some to me and send to my lawyer too..I want to ask if you guys receive any mail at your address while also using lawyer for your case ..I currently move to new address now ..I’m about to change my address soonest

@Blunt hello dear.., EAD has production date and also expiration date once ur EAD is produced the date starts counting regardless of any extension letter u received.... you also complained of all ur documents going to ur lawyer , yes this is because of the way your lawyer filled out your i360 form  i765Form form he has put his address as safe mailing address...and also he has his G28 as ur representative too, he can also change it if he wishes or if u request it , forms addresses can be split into 2 some part comes to you and some part goes to the lawyer as I said it all depends on how the lawyer fills out ur forms... simply ask ur lawyer to change the address if u wish... as long as you have paid him all the money he requested he should change it for u

hi, can vawa applicants who received their EAD and ssn and are still waiting for a vawa final decision apply for the virus relief with the given ssn? if yes, do you recommend to apply or could it hurt my vawa chances?

thanks

Did you file the 2019 tax? if yes you can apply, and it will not hurt your VAWA case.

Hello family, I got a question.

how long did it take after C31 card being produce to get the physical card in hand? I’m trying to intercept mines since my lawyers office is closed 😩 and I don’t have a tracking number. I just don’t want it to be sent back to USCIS because unfortunately I don’t have a proactive lawyer.

They will probably just leave it in the mailbox. So after the status says "card being produced" for all my cards I also got another update (3-5 days later) saying it was mailed, and it has a tracking number. Usually it is delivered 3-5 days after it's mailed.
