Good morning Family, almost after long 19 months I got RFE tiding through case tracker this morning. I don't know what's in it? @Stillwinning!!!😊 and other members, please share with me through message a specimen of well drafted RFE reply so I can start working on it . Thanks

Sorry to hear this. I got RFE too after 18months of waiting. It will all pass.🙏 You need to know what the RFE is for first of all. Also RFE response is not universal. It's basically just responding to what the officer requires of you..there's no particular format. They are not evaluating your writing style or diction..they just want closure. Let us know what they specifically requested, then tips and suggestions can be offered.👍

Good morning folks!

After Vawa approval do we still getting prima facie? Or the approval letter will substitute the prima facie?
My last prima facie expired and I didn’t get a new one. I need to show some document to FAFSA to be able to keep studying.

Thank you 🌹

When your i360 is approved USCIS ceases to send PF as it's no longer needed. Yes your approval letter takes precedence.👍

You should be prepared to need some of the following:

- Personal statement about your relationship (good faith marriage)

- Statements from friends and family either about your relationship being real or them witnessing some abuse (good faith marriage/abuse proof)

- Statement from a doctor diagnosing you with some condition caused by abuse, such as depression etc. (proof of abuse)

- FBI clearance/police clearance from your country (good moral character)

- Bills, lease, bank statements, joint tax returns and other similar things to prove you lived together (good faith marriage)

I'd say these are the most common things to send out in response to RFE, of course most likely they will only pick 1 category for which proof they need (like good faith marriage).

In my personal experience - I sent them police clearance, police report for abuse, and personal statement in my initial package. 20 months into I360 I got RFE for good moral character, because I went to my country and they said "if I stayed there for 6+ months in the 3 (or 2 I forgot) years prior to filing I360 I need police clearance". I responded with FBI clearance for US, I94 explaining I only had 1 2-week trip to my country in the past 6 years, copies of my boarding passes (travel history didn't load on the I90 website), and a detailed table with all my addresses for the past 8 years or so. Additionally, I sent them a bunch more stuff, because I know some people get 2-3 RFE requests. I sent copies of marriage license, police report, ID copies with same address, joint tax return, and a few more things I can't recall anymore. Got approval 4 months after.

Thank you for your detailed reply. I'll try to collect as much evidence as possible but the detail you provided ll help me  a lot.

When was your VAWA approved? Have you gotten a courtesy letter or any other correspondence from USCIS? Lastly are you in N.Y.? N.Y be crazy with the ridiculous wait times! I discovered I was even lucky (blessed) to have had my interview when I did..most folks still waiting..and now this unfortunate and ongoing pandemic will probably add a new twist to it(God forbid). The situation is just terrible. Y'all please stay safe. Praying for everyone!🙏

Hi there. Filed Dec 2017, Approved Jan 2020. I got an approval letter and C31 card, but no other correspondence in regards to my case being transferred. Contacted my congressman yesterday, so waiting on some updates on that.

I lived in NYC June 2013-July 2019, now I moved to Houston. So very hopeful that the wait in Houston will be under a year🙏

Supper happy for your approval btw!
