good evening community!

can someone please advise if that is true that biometrics are valid for 15 months only? my vawa case started back in fall 2018 and i will need to renew my ead (2nd time) soon. does it mean i will bet biometrics appointment again? will ead be renewed without new biometrics?

i do know there are exceptions now due to coronavirus but my ead renewal will be in july and hope by that time coronavirus situation clears up

You're right but sometimes they don't need new prints. They just use the one on that system..using my case as an example, last time I did biometrics was 2017 nothing again until I got my Greencard weeks ago.👍

Thank you so much! Would that mean that if they want biometrics - they will send me a new notice to go to ASC? Will it delay ead renewal or vawa process?

Wow, looks like almost the same timeline! I guesses you received RFE as well?

There's been many things slowed down the proccess like; RFE, Government shutdown, and now this... I've felt many times giving up and leave everything behind, leave for good from U.S.

I didn't get any RFE. It is just a slow painful journey but we almost there so don't give up now.

Wow without an RFE, that's really long. I wouldn't mind if we had the Parole all the time during this time, but that's also pain in the ### to make the lawyer apply for it and wait, wait, wait.

I'll reach out the Congressman in some point, don't think it's gonna help tho.

Well, good luck then. Let me know please if anything

Given the new info, I guess you won't need to worry about biometrics anymore.👍😊

Thank you again. Understood that no biometrics now due to coronavirus but eventually things will get normal and they can ask for biometrics - will this slow process of ead renewal or vawa process?

As a general question as my lawyer is not being helpful at all:

What are main deadlines and expirations i need to know of during vawa process? Good to know what expires and what i should be on lookout for to stress less and be prepared.

will highly appreciate your advice

Getting your prints doesn't slow down the process...which like I said may not be needed. Anyways..I'm trying to understand what deadlines you're talking about..If you mean for RFE, it will be stated on the document. Mine then was 84days to respond. Can't think of any other deadlines...your EAD(C9) should be renewed 180days prior to expiration..it's not mandatory, only advised as processing times go up. USCIS is pretty straightforward, they'll tell you what they want from you, deadlines..etc. So best to take things one step at a time for now!👍

Last thing if that works to ask: can one do biometrics without request from USCIS? Like just do it in advance knowing they expired?

What i know is better to wait for them to ask you to do your biometrics and your medical, just so they will be valid and don't expire again.

Thank you - you are truly amazing. God bless you! Congrats on the approval - so happy for you!

as for USCIS being straightforward - would you mean they will send rfe if they want something. Frankly, when I hear rfe it already makes me anxious.

another expiration I keep in mind is for medical exam to be valid for 2 years. I did not do one when filed for Vawa but will do.

Did I miss anything else relevant besides what you kindly mentioned on ead 180 days rfe timeline?

thank you

Hi.. Hope everybody is doing fine.

I check uscis online tool and my case for i360. (C31) said card has being reproduce and being pick up by postal service but my case for i765 is denied what does it means.

Also I track the mail and usps couldnt deliver they will try tomorrow, but the office lawyer is close, what can I do?

Because they already issued c31 category ead to you so thats why they denied your i765. Congrats for your approval

Yeah if they want anything they will let you know. That's when they send the RFE. You don't need to be bothered for now..it's possible they may not ask and you'll just be approved. As for medicals, it's safer to get it done when you get your interview notice.👍

I received my EAD last week (filed for Vawa in Dec 2017) and it has a blank spot where the fingerprint is typically located on the card. So maybe it's their solution to the "no social gathering" situation.
