Don’t worry, I had the same RFE and same situation. My birth certificate was re-issued in 2018, I had asked my family to send me after I got the RFE. It was accepted by USCIS

send it without delay. Btw, is this lawyer an idiot or something?

if your birthdate is correct and details are correct, date of re-issue has no bearing. It’s from the government, just re-issued... people do it everywhere, in USA as well. I had to order my spouse’s birth certificate as well, when we applied for I-485. No problem what so ever

Oh, wow.. Big relief. Thank you

hi everyone

I just received my C31 EAD today but it says that it's not valid for reentry to US. I am not sure why, I thought my lawyer applied for it.

also, today I got notification that my C09 combo card renewal got approved, so my question is - would both of the EAD's be vaild or one is going to be voided?

would I be able to travel with my renewed combo card, since that one will have advance travel parole?

thank you

Both are valid but use the combo one to travel. I have C09/AP and C31.

Approval after 883 days!! November 2017 filer

Today, after 883 after sending my documents my vawa was finally APPROVED!!

I applied in November/2017 and received a RFE in April/2019. My RFE was answered by June/2018 and I was waiting for 9 months for an answer.

I contacted my congressman during this time and USCIS told him that my case was under background check so I had nothing to do but wait.

I was asked for RFE twice. First time was good faith and good character, second time I got 3 RFE’s and I was about to give up! So if you are in this situation right now, DON’T GIVE UP, you will be fine! GOD HAS YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND” Isaiah 49:16

Thank you @Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj and everyone from this forum.

My office is Newark NJ, is there anyone here from there? How long did you wait for interview?

I’m sharing my timeline below:

2017:

10/18/2017: Package sent by mail (I-360; I-485; I-131; I765)

11/05/2017: Notice date

12/01/2017: Biometrics

2018:

01/31/2018: RFE for I-360 (good faith marriage & good character)

02/22/2018: EAD + AP approval

04/18/2018: RFE answer received by USCIS

2019:

01/02/2019: Renewal EAD + AP

02/06/2019: EAD + AP approval

04/08/2019: RFE for I-360 (shared residence + good moral character + abuse)

06/28/2019: RFE answer received by USCIS

2020:

01/05/2020: 2nd Renewal EAD + AP approved

03/24/2020: i-360 (Vawa) Approved!!!

C31 never comes as a combo card. Its been approved with the C9 EAD that's why it's a combo card. Congrats on this progress! More wins! 👍

Does anyone here had the update “Case Was Approved” before “New card is being produced” for I-360?

I’ve been reading a lot of cases here but all of them get the Approval notice after the card.

I’m wondering when I’m getting the card if my case went straight to “Case was approved”

Thanks 😊😄

Do we get the government check they’re talking about if we have an approved vawa and waiting on the adjustment of status interview (and taxes filed and valid ssn)?

I believe so, all taxpayers.

It happens like that sometimes..not a cause for concern at all as discussed earlier.😊

I'll say I hope so as they keep saying "Americans" makes me feel like they're referring to citizens only. Not even Greencard holders...let's see how it goes!💁

Hello guys. Hope everyone is well and safe. My questions is: can a person remarry and file for AOS if their VAWA is denied? Just wondering what options are available if VAWA is denied.

Nothing stops you from re-marrying and filing..but it will all depend on how USCIS views the development..be positive VAWA is hardly denied if you have a case.👍

I assume  that they will highly scrutinize the next marriage.I'm home and all manner of thoughts be going through my mind. I do want to think positive though.
