@sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 HI can you guys please advise, so I submitted the old form for my i485 which I filed concurrently with 1-360. I am sure that the form is going to be rejected and returned, but no one at uscis customer support can give me any information, and they are asking me to write vsc. Will it be an issue if I were to resubmit new i-485/i765, even before getting the old one back? I'm trying to get it jump started because I just lost my boss at my job where I was getting paid cash and now the business is closed, and all the other jobs I'm applying for obviously ask for ead. Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone.. just an update.

Β

My husband called me again today and he was very very angry. Apparently, he got a letter in the mail at his address saying that the I-130 was reopened. (The I-485 reopen letter was sent to my safe address by the way) I forwarded this concern to my attorney but I am so upset with USCIS for this. Did anything like this happened to anyone here?

Make sure to change your address asap. Seems like uscis has your old address on file

You need to wait until you receive your forms back

I have been being a silent reader on this forum, i got an RFE of 9 pages giving details of discrepancies in Bank statement and made most of my documents null and void which is weird .They asking for good faith of marriage ,Battery and shared residence .This sounds weird because my I-360 file was accepted september 6 2018 and they reply March 10 2020 for an RFE asking for all these during this pandemic .....i dont know what to do ....i feeel hopeless right now!!!!Β

Do not feel hopeless. You need to provide them bona fide evidence

write your personal detailed affidavit of your relationship with the abuser(starting till end)

affidavits from friends/family attended the wedding

joint tax returns ( if not explain why not available)

joint lease agreements, utility bills, health care, gym memberships etc

EAD RENEWAL DENIAL

Β

Hello everyone, I am in a very confusing situation now.

I submitted my EAD renewal Nov 7th 2019 and got extension letter in December and finger print.

I received denial letter today stating because my I 485 was denied back in Jan 3 2019.

Please note: I filed with i 130, i 485 and i 765 back in 2017.

In 2018, the abuse got intense and I could I ran for my life.

I files VAWA in Dec 2018 with another i 485, I paid $1225.

My old 1485 was denied in Jan 3 2019 for abandonment because we never went for interview.

They also acknowledged in the letter that they are aware that I am adjusting my status through other means.

My EAD was sent March 2019.

But the renewal was denied because my old i 485 was denied back in Jan 2019

I attached a copy of my new i 48 when I submitted my renewal papers.

Β

I am confuse,Β  do not know what to do, Please help me. I need advise @sandraj

Β

Are you sure you attached new i485 receipt? Seems like something is wrong, if that’s the case, you need to file new i765 with new i485 receipt

You can't possibly have two i485 petitions as one will be denied. Just wait for USCIS to send it back then send in the correct/updated form. I know you feel like it's a setback time-wise but you have to do it the right way. A thought just came to me now as I'm typing..don't know how feasible that will be but I was thinking you should send the updated form with a letter instructing them to cancel the already submitted one citing the reason which in this case will be that you used the outdated form. Just my thoughts..πŸ’ also to save time.

Aside the suggestion I gave, you can wait for Sandra to give her opinion from a legal angle! I know how you must feel trying to save time before it's lost...I pray for y'all still waiting for case progression!😊

You are such a blessing to us on here, may God forever bless you and may you be favored and receive help wherever you turn.Β
