It was sent to NBC, not yet transferred to Vermont. I have been trying to get something out of the congressman but USCIS has not replied to them yet and now the whole thing with COVID-19, everything is in standstill.

I got the extension letter within 2-3 weeks I think.

on March 3, I got an alert and a letter from NBC saying that they have applied my fingerprints to the renewal application, so some movement on it finally.

Vermont had told my congressman that my I-485 and EAD renewal is under the jurisdiction of NBC, so I suppose they are aware and cool with it? Honestly i dunno, things with USCIS are a complete chaos since this administration took over, they constantly change behind the scene operations.

all we can do is have PATIENCE and be PROACTIVE without being too pushy.

May God save us from them .but we still have to thank God ..life could be worse..

Good morning everyone!

Hope you are well and dealing with the COVID-19 situation alright. I came across a resource that I would like to share with the community, that I think will help who are interested to calm their minds and center themselves. It's a live guided meditation session, held everyday for next 2 weeks or so. I have been doing it for last 2 days, its good, especially now that stress is on all time high.

I do not wish to offend anyone, just share something that is helping me cope :)

I think sometimes it's important that we humble ourselves and remember that immigration is a privilege, not a right. You can inquire through your congress person, but besides that all you can do is wait.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. But it's not right badmouth the very same people that you want to spend time and evaluate your case to their best ability.

Yeah it’s so sad that these people didn’t even look at my case ,but there is nothing I can do other than just accepting my fate ,cuz life could be worse .. but that just drives me mad ..but I dnt care or give a ** anymore ..I will wait till they do whatever they have to do ...having green card is very very pertinent but there is more to life than having green card or USA blue passport ..so I will just have to wait and hope their delay doesn’t affect me,now that it’s hard to keep a job ..everybody is getting laid off ...

please can you tell me how long it took you to have your own EAD renewed and what do you mean by this time it was less than 2..I dnt really get that part ..thanks and God bless us and make life worth living for us in Jesus name

Hi am sorry for what you are going through and its unfortunate to read this, I can Imagine what you are going through right now,

But again just wondering have you ever thought of just breathing in and out, then just know that God is in control?

Unfortunately uscis doesn't work according to our urgency and to how they will make us happy, or how to massage our feelings nooo ... unless you put in an expedite as someone asked you to ask your employer to write a letter, or if it's out of processing time put in a service request. Then wait for the due process,

I had that issue of delay but when I knew that I can not predict when the will adjudicate my case I took a leave of absence until I got my EAD after the 180 days expired. During the 180 days I saved for the rainy day. And I classify this as a rainy day! I knew that everyone's case is different and mine would come too as unique,  so  this might not work to you but again I would understand,  but my advice is do not stress yourself on things you do not have a way to change but focus on the prize.

Stay encouraged and safe out there.

It’s because you dnt know what I’m going through lol ..but do you remember that we are all immigrants in this world..nobody is an island ..some of them are also immigrants ...everybody is privilege to be wherever he or she is ..but most importantly there is more to this world than green card ..

I’m good till May 25. But. Now with this COVID19 I don’t know what will be.
If I won’t get it till then I will be without job and no driving.

And I have a child.
The last option and chance it’s our congressman.

I am sorry but I disagree with you on this. They are extraordinary workers. VAWA Unit receives every year over 11.000 VAWA petitions and over 11.000 U visa petitions  to adjudicate. They have less than 300 Immigration officers to adjudicate 22.000 petitions every year. They deserve our appreciation.

I didn’t mean to be ungrateful. It’s because I saw that some people that submitted renewal after some of us have been approved that’s why I got worried..and that could happen to anybody ..I guess I just have to accept my fate and move on.

You better drive like that ..if I dnt have my ead I wil drive till I get it ..so you think I wil stop driving hell NO..it’s not my fault ..I wil just tell them what happen ..sometimes you have to be confident..you have a child you have to drive ..some people drive in this country without no drivers license and dnt even have papers ..your own case is different ...all you just have to do is you make sure you dnt break traffic laws and pay your insurance ...if you gat pulled over you tell them your situation ..sometimes you have to face it ...it’s not your fault

Were you sent receipt of extension letter by NBC when you mistakenly sent to NBC instead of Vermont ..were you issued extension letter by NBC or they transferred it to Vermont and Vermont issued you extension. Letter and how long does it take them to get back to you with the extension letter

Where have you been all these while

I’ve been here and there just putting my life on track. How are you doing???
