Hello Guys,

I have my EAD/AP Combo card and I am above to travel to my home country. However, I am yet to receive my Prima Facie renewal document after the initial one expired in December 2019. Do i need this document to travel ? Would I need this document at the port of entry.

Thank you.

You do not need a prima facie. Just your passport and combo card

Hello Group,                                                                                                                                            what happen if there are two pending I-485? For my marriage base application, my Lawyer went to the interview alone and told the officer that we were going to file VAWA. I was advices that I didn't need to go. When he filed I-360, he refiled another I-485. He keep telling me that NBC will merge the two files together and that it is not a problem. I am so scared now because I got approved since Dec 7th 2018 and still no interview. Please advice. Losing my mind here.

You just need  a valid Advance parole and a valid passport to travel.

The files will not  merge. USCIS will deny the first AOS and they will continue with the second one.Your attorney filed the second I-485 for no reason. Why did he file the second one?if he is not a pro bono attorney then I know the answer , it's  because he wanted to charge you for the second AOS .But don't worry you will be fine.

Good morning family, does anyone have any idea of effective location where I can get Nigeria Identification Number (NIN ) done in the US? This is like SSN, and it is needed for any financial transaction in Nigeria. Even you worked back there and have pension you want to collect you must have NIN. Most of the location listed on their website are not effective. Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Try posting this in the regional forums.

Thank you so much Sandra. I feel relief now. He did charged me for two cases. One fee for the I-360 and another for I 485.

This brings to mind another Lawyer joke.

One day, part of the wall between Heaven and Hell broke down, and St. Peter called the Devil over to discuss repairs.

"The break definitely came from your side," said St. Peter, "so I think it is up to you to fix it."

       "Ha!" snorted the Devil.

"In that case," said St. Peter regretfully, "I'm afraid that I shall have to sue you."

"Ha!" snorted the Devil.  "And exactly where would you expect to find a lawyer?"

It's a good one,lol
