Priority date doesn't matter after vawa approval. Mine is. Nov 2016. They will just add your case on the line in order of VAWA approval. And if your local office is not overcrowded with VAWA cases then your i-485 will be processed fast enough.

True dear.👍

Hello everyone

I would like your input on an issue.

I am renting a room in a family house since i left my abuser.

The renter said I have to leave at the end of July because she wants to increase the rent and I told her that I cannot afford to pay more at this time.

I spoke to a non profit para legal and was told that she cannot evict me at the moment, but I need to keep my properties safe since she is beginning to start fight.

I would like to know if I can rent a PO Box and redirect my USCIS mails or my important documents to the PObox because I no longer trust her.

Is it a good idea to use a PO box for pending case?

If yes can I change my address online before submitting my RFE?

If yes, do I refer to the new PO box address on my RFE, I intend to submit my RFE this month end.

Please help @sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 @everyone.

Thanks.

@FeDaniela Yeah the news is true. Here is a detailed culled from online source...

WASHINGTON — After suspending approval of green card requests to immigrants abroad seeking U.S. residency, the Trump administration has also halted processing requests from green card applicants already living in the country.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services told employees this week that a “general hold” on permanent residency applications filed from immigrants within the United States would remain in place. But it updated a list of exemptions to the hold in a Wednesday email and other internal communication seen by CQ Roll Call.

This information is incorrect, I couldn't find any reliable source of information supporting this statement except for few shady small online news websites.

I can't remember ever seeing so many approvals in one thread -- a situation that makes our hearts glad.  Let's hope for even more in the Part 19 thread!  Remember that if someone has an open issue or question here, carry it over.
