I read there are also many checkpoints far from the borderline in those states. I'm still waiting for vawa approval but I have my work permit. would i need to carry that with me?

So you have C31 EAD? If so, carry it with you. They can search the database and see I-360 approval;ย VSC issues deferred action with approved I-360s for principal applicants. If not, do you have a pending I-485? If you have a pending I-485 you should carry a photocopy of the I-485 receipt notice.

During the 90 days of K-1 status you weren't required to register. What was your age (in year with month format) when your I-94 expired?

I was 24 and like 6 months when I94 expired. But even know I am not a resident yet, but I am over 26 now.

is it safe to drive through a border patrol checkpoint station in Texas or New Mexico? (not the ones at the border). I'm not going to Mexico, just driving from New Mexico to Texas. Itโ€™s ok I passed lots of time trough the border patrol in Laredo,TX . They asked me if I was a USC.? I said no and show them driver license and work permit and they let me go without any problems.

Earlier you mentioned that you did register:

Did you register before turning 26?

See the link Sandranj shared earlier:ย https://www.sss.gov/register/immigrants/ย "Non-immigrant men living in the United States on a valid visa are not required to register for as long as they remain on a valid visa up until they turn 26." Your K-1 I-94 expired before you turned 26.

Hello guys, I received my official VAWA approval notice today. On the front, it says case has been approved. I noticed that the priority date listed on the front is November 29th, 2016 which is the priority date of my original filingย (i-130 and i-485). My I-130 and i-485 were reopenedย and denial decision was reversed in May 2018ย after I contacted my local immigration office upon receiving my VAWA Notice of Action. On the Back of the Approval notice, it says supplemental notice of deferred action and then goes on to say that my case had been approved back in Nov 27th, 2019. I am a little confused. I don't need deferred action because my I-485 was reopened back in May 2018 after I filed VAWA. So my question is that, is it just standard to have the deferred action on the back of the approval notice? My second question is that, does it all mean that my priority date from now on has been moved back to the priority date of my I-485 and I-130 which are still current to this date? Finally, my abusive spouse has not withdrawn the original I-130 petition. The I-130 petition was denied along with my I-485. However, when i went and requested for my I-485 to be reopened, they re-opened both the I-130 and I-485, so I am pretty sure my abusive spouse does not even have an idea that her petition for me was reopened. I dont even talk to her so i can't even call her and tell her about it. Is there any direct implication of that on my case now. And finally, when will my case be finally transferred back to my local office. I am in Dallas, Texas. Any body have clue of the transfer time for Dallas cases? This journey has been too damn long, i can't wait to end it. I am loosing patience.ย

I registered when I was 24, so I think I am good!

Hi everyone, I want to know if can own a business. My vawa has been approved since December and Iโ€™m filling for i-485 next week . I had to work to get money to file since my fee waiver was denied,ย thatโ€™s why iโ€™m filing late . @sandraj

you can own a business in the US even if you live outside of the US. YOu don't have to be physically here to own a business. What type of organization you trying to form? I am opening a business right now as well, I did a lot of research a hired an accountant. So maybe I can help, but as long as you have SSN you should have no problem creating an LLC or INC.

First of all congrats!๐Ÿ‘ Yeah my priority date listed on the i360 approval notice was same date as the i485 filing date! Yes the deffered action notice comes with the approval letter. Once your i485 is transferred to your local office, it joins the queue for interview..priority date is irrelevant at the moment..visa numbers are current for spouses of GC holders..that was the initial relevance of the priority dates...not for spouses of USC! My i130 was open up until I went for my interview..then it updated to "Case closed benefits achieved through other means" which is i360! As my spouse initially filed for me..but never withdrew the petition! Don't worry you're almost there..the end is near..I know the feeling!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
