Hello everybody,

ย

I hope everyone is doing well. I have a question for people who might know the answer. My vawa is approved. I sent an AR-11 change of adress to vermont when I moved from florida to texas. And after my vawa was approved. NBC sent me rfie for borth certificate.i sent it to them. Last week, my lawyer contacted me and said that my case was transfered to florida. So my adress was never changed in the system. I ha e proof that I sent the AR 11.ย

ย

How long it will take them to fix the problem.ย

When my i485 will be transfered to texas, do I have to wait again like it was just received?

ย

Thank youย

Same thing happened. I sent so many AR11 forms to vermont to change of address.. specially for my i485, i do not understand why they dont update it.. my attorney still receives all the emails to his old addressย

Used an old form first time, then they denied myย  waiver. If it is more than 30 days, give them a call.ย

Oh, ok. I tried calling today and wasn't able to get a rep on the phone so I sent them an email. I'll try again and let you know if I hear anything. Thanks for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it.

I read this today. What do you guys think? If USCIS is forced to furlough employees, I think the processing time will significantly increase.ย https://thehill.com/opinion/immigration/502333-us-citizenship-and-immigration-services-doesnt-deserve-a-blank-check?amp

Hey..did you get any update about the case transfer? How long did it take after filing to get receipt notice? Not every move is updated in a timely manner by USCIS..if that's any consolation.๐Ÿ’

no i did not get transfer notice of anything like i-485, i-131, and i-765.ย

i-131 is pending since july 10th 2019. last month i received my EAD after reaching out to congressman twice, and senator once.ย

now when i called yesterday they did not have access to my file so i was assuming Vermont has my file.ย

Yeah..it's possible Vermont has it already. I experienced same too...I sent out the renewal February 2019 and it was approved December 2019! Remember it was erroneously sent to NBC..this on it's own resultsย in delays! I discovered it was in Vermont way before I got the transfer notification. This was at the time I enquired through my senator. They responded that it was in Vermont...then later I got the update...things moved forward from that point!๐Ÿ‘

Anything is possible! But I hope not for the sake of the people waiting...I know how disheartening it can be! I sincerely pray everything works out even in the midst of all the madness!๐Ÿ™

Also see I-485 instructions:ย https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-485instr-pc.pdfย Page 24

"If a visa is immediately available, applicants filing as VAWA self-petitioners do not have to wait until Form I-360 isย approved to file Form I-485. If a visa is immediately available, you may file your Form I-485 together with your Formย I-360, while your Form I-360 is pending, or after your Form I-360 is approved."

Note that F2A is Current at the moment. So currently, those that were abused or battered by their LPR spouse also qualify to submit I-485 concurrently with or while I-360 is pending.

So apparently my lawyer didn't know this and i already file I-360 but didn't receive my receipt yet. Can i just submit I-485 with I-765 and I-131 now or it should be sent together with I-360?ย

Thank You
