That is your notice of action. It has your case number and your priority date (also known as date your documents were received). You can now use your case number which has been given to you on that NOA to track your case online. Now the waiting begins. You are going to have to be very patient because the wait time is crazily long. Welcome on board. Your waiting time has officially started. Buckle up and enjoy the ride as best as you can.

Thank you I just got confused when I read the part that says that my NOA is not evidence that my case is pending. So I thought if the case is not pending then what does it mean

That's just standard information. They write that on all VAWA NOA. I guess they have their reasons for putting all that on the NOA. But that has nothing to do with you at this time. You got your case number and your priority date. That's all that you need for now until you get the next update on your case.

Congratulations 🙂

Thanks. I was hoping that when this comes, it will come with both this approval notice and a notice of case transfer, after haven waited all this long to get it. But, I have learned not to expect too much from USCIS. What you see is what you get. I am grateful that I now have clear and concrete evidence of VAWA approval. It certainly give some mental relieve.

Have you also filed I-485? If you have a pending I-485, you should carry a photocopy of the I-485 receipt notice. AOS applicants are in a period of stay authorized by the Secretary of Homeland Security.

Hello HRQX, thank you for replying me. I did not file for I-485, only filed  I-360 and an EAD renewal, which shows figer prints were taken. I’m doing all by my self and read that we should wait until I-360 to be approved to file I-485, is that incorrect?

thank you again

You're eligible to file I-485; send it to Vermont. Remember to submit a photocopy of the I-360 petition receipt notice when you file the I-485 application.

Thank you so much, I will file it today. Last question, I filed an I-485 when I married my abusive spouse and that one was canceled, right? so know I should file another one without my abusive spouse?

thank you
