Good evening VJ Family; hope everyone had a fantastic weekend?

I have an odd question, but then again i always have those and speciali now when i have so much time on my hands, and my mind is going insane.

My question is since my VAWA petition was approved in 2019, and im just waiting on my AOS interview. I continuously think that when i go to my interview for my I-485 will be denied and i will be deported, can someone that has gone true the interview share how did it go, and if the wors happen what can i do what my options are.

The reason why im asking is that the inactivity, and total mishandling on my case by my lawyer and idk i have been waiting for a long time, and i always assume the worst and want to be prepared.

Once again thank you guys, you are amazing.

I got better results from Senator than from House Rep.  Try contacting your Senator.  It seems that Lansen is a House Rep.  Also, if your Senator is a Democrat they respond quicker than if they are Republican.

@Pinkrlion. Tnk u dear. I will contact him.

hi, it took me 10 months to get it. it was a nightmare. I had to reached out to congressman twice and then senator.

You should reach out to your senator as well. Just send them an email. Since when you send you i-765?

@balo101, waoo that's so long. I sent it April...

Dear All,

Hope everyone is coping well with pandemic situation. I see that vawa approvals are happening quicker than before although there are delays with aos interviews. Thats some good news here. Hope we all find peace and happiness down the line.

Dallas filers-

My vawa was approved in Aug 2019. My spouse is a PR. I applied for aos in Nov 2019 along with medicals. My application was transferred to NBC and i received work permit in Mar 2020.

did you hear anything about what month is currently having interviews (if CIS is open)? Any cases where interviews were waived? It will be nice to be in touch and update each other of any progress. Thank you and prayers for everyone 🙏

Hey guys. Has anyone who is from California and who was approved this year moved any further? I only got I-360 approval letter and EAD in February and nothing since then... Thank you!

Hi, my I360 was approved January 2020, got my approval letter in March 2020. And this week I got RFE  with my I485 for birth certificate. From NBC. I’m in CA too.

I had sent them a birth certificate document with my original application package but they are saying it’s insufficient. I’ll see what I can do... I hope this won’t cause a long delay for my future interview date...

Is the birth certificate in English? If its in another language or bi-lingual, I think you need to send a certified translation along with a copy of original birth certificate.

It’s in my language with certified English translation from the consulate. I’ll call the consulate tomorrow and ask about it. I’m also considering to send a criminal record and graduation document since these documents also have my mom and dad’s name, my birth date etc.

Mine was bilingual. So got translation from an agency certified by USCIS. Wish you all the best 🙏

Hi dear, please enlighten me..is there any reason whatsoever you feel your i485 will be denied and you deported? Did your attorney wreck havoc on any part of your petition? I always tell folks here to NOT entertain negativity! You'll be surprised how smoothly it'll go for you. It don't matter if you're a Moslem or Christian or Hindu...whatever! Prayer helps.🙏 also please remind me when in 2019 your vawa was approved again..

Hi everyone,

I filed my vawa in 2017 in Feb. Got Rfe in may 2018 submitted Rfe in August 2018. Since then nothing. What should I do? I tried senator and representative's office for help. Both got back to with answer that they are still working on my case and its in background check. What should I do? I am so confused.

Idk really i haven't lied or anything, but seeing how incompetent lawyers are messing up there client's life, it makes me fear of what may happen.

If it's undergoing background check..then there's really nothing much you can do at this time..we can only hope and pray🙏 it doesn't waste so much time!👍

I see. If USCIS needs anything from you, they'll reach out. Just be composed, go with the necessary documents, answer the officer politely and truthfully...you should be okay! Your GC petition will NOT be denied..believe that!👍
