@Shroy123...Tnk u dear. But I dont know if they could help because I've already started my inquiry with Sen Gooden Lansen's office before the pandemic  and since the pandemic struck till now they dont pick up calls anymore. Or will they likely ask me to continue with the previous senator I already contacted ?

If you call his Mesquite office, chances are that they'll refer you to the DC office.

Yeah I was expecting a month too! I’ve been busy lately with work. Thank you! If I don’t hear from them for 3 months, should I ask for Congresswoman’s help?

I got better results from Senator than from House Rep.  Try contacting your Senator.  It seems that Lansen is a House Rep.  Also, if your Senator is a Democrat they respond quicker than if they are Republican.

hi, it took me 10 months to get it. it was a nightmare. I had to reached out to congressman twice and then senator. 

You should reach out to your senator as well. Just send them an email. Since when you send you i-765?

I just filed my i360 and my ex is not a citizen. So i read many comments but i could not find what is the difference between Your spouse being citizen vs resident. 
I kind of figure it out about citizen, basically your i360 got approved and then You are scheduled for an interview for AOS (i485) but what about being married to resident, because i did not file for i485 AOS. 
Does that mean that when i360 got approved i will get a VAWA visa with which i can travel and work or it is some different process??

to all our here - attorneys are waste of money unless the case goes to deportations. 
 

basically I asked attorney about reaching out to congressperson to speed up the I-485 scheduling. She said my case is on time as I filed in nov 2018 and got ead c31 issued on April 2020. No I-360 approval letter yet though. 
 

I am just stuck with this attorney which is honestly useless.....

You can file to obtain a work permit, but you should tell your attorney that you will file form I-765, because many attorneys will withdraw representation if the person filed a petition without their authorization or knowledge.

You just can travel if you have a pending AOS and the advance parole.Do not travel if you have a deportation order or asylum case.

He/she needs the approval letter to submit together with form I-485!. The person won't need the approval letter just if the spouse is a U.S Citizen and the person filed the I-485 together with the form 360.

You can just file form I-765 category 31 AFTER your VAWA petition is approved, but if you have a pending AOS then you can file form I-765 category C9.

If your AOS is still pending yes you can file form I-765 category C9, if USCIS denied your AOS then you have to refile again.
