Hello deal friends,

Is filing for ead C9 renewal by oneself is okay? My attorney charges $500 for this. I think address that USCIS has on file is my attorneys office though. Can I file for renewal myself and ask to send ead to my home address?

to all our here - attorneys are waste of money unless the case goes to deportations.

basically I asked attorney about reaching out to congressperson to speed up the I-485 scheduling. She said my case is on time as I filed in nov 2018 and got ead c31 issued on April 2020. No I-360 approval letter yet though.

I am just stuck with this attorney which is honestly useless.....

Doesn’t matter. You dont need an attorney for this. I usually renew mine by myself it comes to my home address. Include your home address in i765

Hello everybody,

I just discovered this forum and i want to thank all of You who are sharing their experiences. May God Bless You all.

I just filed my i360 and my ex is not a citizen. So i read many comments but i could not find what is the difference between Your spouse being citizen vs resident.
I kind of figure it out about citizen, basically your i360 got approved and then You are scheduled for an interview for AOS (i485) but what about being married to resident, because i did not file for i485 AOS
Does that mean that when i360 got approved i will get a VAWA visa with which i can travel and work or it is some different process??

I would really appreciate Your help.

May God Bless You all!

I think you can file i485 with your i360 as visa date is current of LPR. Can anyone confirm?

The thing is that I want to buy a ticket for August to fly back home in Europe for 2 months with my advance parole,

Be aware that the travel proclamations don't currently have an end date. Thus, travel to Schengen Area, UK, Ireland, Iran, China, or Brazil is risky. Those proclamations are vague: "The entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within the ____ during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States is hereby suspended and limited subject to section 2 of this proclamation." Do they count Parole entry as either IV or NIV?

The other proclamation that applies to "immigrants" clearly exempts AP holders: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-immigrants-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-economic-recovery-following-covid-19-outbreak/ So no worries with that proclamation.

Hey guys!

I had my VAWA approved on January, 27 2020 and I got my work permit a couple weeks afterwards.

I still didn't receive the approval letter, I even sent a letter to them asking for the approval letter and I still don't have anything in hands. Should I worry about it?

Can I apply for the green card even without the approval letter?

Thank you in advance for your help!

My Vawa was alleged approved November 27th, 2019. I received my C31 in the mail on Dec 3rd 2019. Every attempt at getting USCIS to give me an approval notice for my vawa case: including sending Vermont center a written letter and contacting my congressman's office for assistance have all been unsuccessful. They told the secretary at my congressman's office verbally (on Phone) that my case has been approved and that not every one gets to receive the approval notice. All attempt to get some form of written evidence from USCIS that my vawa has been approved have been unsuccessful. I was (am still as divorce is not through yet) married to a US citizen so I filed my I-485 green card application concurrently with my vawa petition. I have called the USCIS phone number to inquire about my green card application and each time they tell me to contact USCIS Vermont service center in writing as they do not have access to my information since Vermont VAWA cases are confidential.

So, to you my friend @Roger12 I will say, If you were married to an US citizen then you should have filed the green card application a long time ago and therefore you should go ahead and file it right away. If you were married to a Legal Permanent resident, then, you usually have to wait for a visa number to become currently available to you before you can file (I dont know exactly how that works). Some one else will help you answer that.

VAWA NOT APPROVED YET. No Fault divorce mean both parties 've to agree and sign the document.

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if offices start rescheduling appointment? If they are open again?

Hi,the answer is yes based on the info on their website;

Beginning June 4, 2020, certain USCIS field offices and asylum offices will resume non-emergency face-to-face services to the public. Application support centers will resume services later. USCIS has enacted precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in reopened facilities:

  • Visitors may not enter a USCIS facility if they:
    • Have any symptoms of COVID-19, including cough, fever or difficulty breathing;
    • Have been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days; or
    • Have been individually directed to self-quarantine or self-isolate by a health care provider or public health official within the last 14 days.
  • Visitors may not enter the facility more than 15 minutes prior to their appointment (30 minutes for naturalization ceremonies).
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided for visitors at entry points.
  • Members of the public must wear facial coverings that cover both the mouth and nose when entering facilities. If they do not have one, USCIS may provide one or the visitor will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
  • There will be markings and physical barriers in the facility; visitors should pay close attention to these signs to ensure they follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Individuals may also have to answer health screening questions before entering a facility.
  • Individuals are encouraged to bring their own black or blue ink pens.

So if somebody add the protective order language in the final decree and both parties sign will this be a good option

Yes, i think you can file for a green card as a spouse of a legal permanent resident after your I-360 has been approved thanks for the update. However, I don't think you can I-360 and I-485 green card concurrently as a victim spouse of a Legal resident.

Hi to all,

As of this month, my wait for the interview to be scheduled is longer than 17 months!! My I-360 was approved on 3rd of Jan 2019.

So, today I reached out to my rep's office(alexandria ocasio-cortez) and said that my case is outside of processing time. I'll see what that brings out for me ☹️

Whoa!!! Sounds like N.Y. so is that New York? I hope your rep gets some answers ASAP!😏
