Hello Everyone,

Once I-360 is approved, how long does take for I-485 to be scheduled for the interview? Do they use my filing date as of I-360 and I-485 filing?

If anyone is from Chicago, can you please share some details on timeline and interview?

I appreciate you so much!

Thank you

The AOS interview  will depend of your local office workload. They will schedule your interview considering the day your case reached the local office.

@Braveheart123 I totally understand your fears about the content/wording on the divorce document..but believe this..it's NOT going to affect your i485! I hope these few words will give you some hope!☺

Are you still married or divorce right now have the visa officer asked you about the final divorce decree at the interview

Thanks Sandra, I asked this question to my lawyer too but he says it better to wait... because when a congressperson asks USCIS they dont like it and may deny the case... :(

Sorry but id doesn't seem your attorney is an immigration attorney, because an immigration attorney won't say something   stupid like he  said.  There is no repercussion against the petitioner because of  a  congressional inquiry.

It will not interfere in your case, but you need the transcript from the injunction hearing.

Respected Mrs.sandra

the final injunction will be in the final decree where we both are conditioned not to talk with each other and not to harass each other this is the prose draft but not finalized yet we still have to appear before the mediator this month that’s why I need the suggestions from you feeling real pressure

Guys, i sent in my renewal for EAD almost a month ago (through my lawyer). They cashed my check for renewal fee 3 weeks ago from my bank and so far i have not gotten any receipt notice.  Should I be worried?

Don't worry, they can take 10 days to 8 weeks to issue the receipt.

I don't think you should worry, it will arrive at your lawyer office, you can check in your online banking the back part of your the check it should have your receipt # in there.

You obviously didn't read my interview update..anyways the officer didn't ask me anything but yes or no questions..I was out the building like lightening. Wonderful day that day...see don't work up anxiety and doubts/confusion...your disposition can even make the officer believe he or she needs to probe more...don't worry about the words on that document..Vermont decides the i360 case...your local office focuses on i485..which is often approved except you have admissibility issues! I went for my interview still married! No questions asked like I said!👍

You are so right Sandra. The funny thing is a have seen many applicant lawyers said the same thing, this is so ridiculous, congress office is there to help people inquiry to Federal Government agencies.

I thought that the interview would be scheduled on when you filed the form.

but now I understood that it’s on arrival basis to the local uscis..

Thank you for you answer!

Yes on arrival basis..I'm sure I've explained this to you earlier..your i485 will join a fresh queue and if they're fast there..then you will get scheduled sooner!☺👍

I'm blessed! You too will be favoured I promise! Just shake off this present energy! Your marriage wasn't fraudulent, you didn't abuse your spouse..the reverse was the case...so where's the anxiety coming from..ok let me tell you something...once VSC approves your case, you can be rest assured your i485 will be approved too! Divorce is a process so I'm still waiting.. Right now it doesn't matter anymore...try and relax..pray..trust GOD! Stop entertaining illogical fears..I've seen the long write ups..your worries/concern...and I say you have absolutely nothing to worry about!🙅

Hello everybody,

I just discovered this forum and i want to thank all of You who are sharing their experiences. May God Bless You all.

I just filed my i360 and my ex is not a citizen. So i read many comments but i could not find what is the difference between Your spouse being citizen vs resident.
I kind of figure it out about citizen, basically your i360 got approved and then You are scheduled for an interview for AOS (i485) but what about being married to resident, because i did not file for i485 AOS
Does that mean that when i360 got approved i will get a VAWA visa with which i can travel and work or it is some different process??

I would really appreciate Your help.

May God Bless You all!
