C31 only approved after vawa approval. No one can get c31 before vawa approval..

 

there are cases like me who applied initially c31 category but received c09 instead based on pending AOS..

Depends on your local field office about the availability of slots.. 

 

after vawa approval, it may take up to 4 months for Vermont to transfer cases to local

 offices. Mine got transferred after 3 months. I had to inquire through a congress person. You can do the same it you haven’t received your AOS update after vawa approval

Thank you @Shroy123 They have updated my AOS to "Local office received your case". I am assuming they have moved it to NBC or Chicago.

I need some suggestion my VAWA got approved in Jan got the approval letter as well as courtesy 

my divorce case is pending in the court The court has appointed a mediator to finalize the divorce if we sign a simple divorce will this be a issue in future 

 

Moreover if we add a para that me and my wife will not contact each other in any manner will this be ok as well 

 

need some suggestions feeling lot of pressure.

no there will not be an issue if you file a simple divorce.

That is very standard for divorce. They also often include wording about how neither one of you will sell off any assets until they have been divided. 

 

I understand it can be concerning for people because the wording makes it sound like its a restraining order and we all know having a restraining order against you is not good! But theres a difference between a restraining order in a divorce (thats more like a no contact order) and an order of protection (which is you are a threat to another so you are prohibited from speaking or being near them). Order of protection = bad. Dont speak to each other during the proceedings = no impact.

Thanks Sandra, I asked this question to my lawyer too but he says it better to wait... because when a congressperson asks USCIS they dont like it and may deny the case...

Guys, i sent in my renewal for EAD almost a month ago (through my lawyer). They cashed my check for renewal fee 3 weeks ago from my bank and so far i have not gotten any receipt notice.  Should I be worried?

The wording is that She is permanently enjoin to contact me in a Harrasing manner and similar I will be restrain for permanent harassing her

 

What kind of impact this language has
