Hello everyone. I wanted to know if I can request my approval notice from Vermont since I have my ead c31 which to my understanding means that my Vawa has been approved. Itโ€™s been almost 3 three weeks since I got the new card production message. Iย need that notice to file for my AOS andย also terminate my current status which is withholding of deportation. I wouldnโ€™t worry too much about it if I didnโ€™t need it to file for my AOS. USCIS tend to take their time sometimes if we donโ€™t send them a reminder lol and I donโ€™t want that to be the case for my approval noticeย

Thank you so much and sorry for what you went through. I myself still depressed and cannot believe it has just been happening. Having someone you trust in the beginning makes world look like why it happened to me...

ย

As for attorneys fees itโ€™s around $8,000 to pay to my ex-husbandsย attorney but in monthly installments. No abuse or infidelity or any other languageย from either side in the final divorce degree. Just โ€œin-supportabilityโ€. Though I know he cheated.ย Also we did sign a prenup agreement as I have been in medical field as icu nurse and was making more than him and plus parents helped me with buying a first small house in the USA. So we signed a prenup before marrying and when divorced ย finalย divorce degree says somethingย likeย โ€œparties divorced in accordance with prenupโ€. So these 2ย things: will paying hisย legal fees and havingย prenup be a red flag like you said as likeย marriage being aย fraud and stuff (which is absolutely not rightย as itโ€™s himย justย used me and abused me)ย to USCIS? I was too stupid to believe him.

ย

i think yesterday my attorney told me that I just got I-360โ€™s โ€œcard being processedโ€ update as it means I will get c31 ead soon. Attorney did send the divorce degree right after the divorce was finished like 1.5ย months ago andย I had an RFE from USCIS at that time. And so we included it with this RFEย response.
ย

In short, does it mean USCIS made its decision already and at I-485 interview they wonโ€™t surveyย me again on the divorce degree and details of marriage / divorceย and why there was prenup and I paid his legal fees...last thing I want to go over in myย mind and mentallyย in front of a stranger officer again as it hurts even more. Writing an personal affidavit was the most painful thing I did in my life already.

ย

sorry for my long message but just needed to speak away all what is going on in my head now. I am trying to spend more time with friends to just disconnect and worry less.

Pre Nap agreement before marriage is a proof of bona fide marriage and not vice versa. Most of the mature people married in the USA after enteringย  into Pre Nap and is very common in this society. A friend of mine submitted it as aย proof of bona fide marriage during 130/485 interview and got approved.

Do you have a specific question for Sandra? Nothing will (directly) happen when you get your greencard. The greencard just means you are a permanent resident.ย For VAWA cases where its spousal abuse they like to see the victim has moved on (divorced) from the abuser- although divorce is not required. They want you to be safe! Because this is your son he may not ever be 100% out of your life. You should find a therapist if you dont already have one and discuss with them ways to separate yourself from your abusive son. It can be very hard but you need to take care of yourself first! You cant help him until you are stable. A local therapist can help you figure out what you need to do to secure housing under your name, the bills, bank accounts etc. You may also benefit from a social worker. The therapist may be able to refer you to one or you can contact your local DV hotline or call 211 and ask for social worker assistance.ย

Thank you for answering.ย ย

He leaves my home to do drugs for months with friends and then comes back again.ย  But he will start rehab.

ย

I just don't want to get in trouble with immigration if I live with him after he finishes treatment.ย  I dont want they deport me . I love my son , I know its the drugs that make him into a bad person. Im in therapy.ย ย

We've heard of those..especially in earlier threads..but not of recent! It all depends on the severity of your case and the discretion of the officer handling it otherwise it will take the usual time..which is a long time! Patience, patience!๐Ÿ‘

Although I got mine about a month of approval but the pattern has changed, based on the experience of folks here..it can take anywhere from 30days-90days like @Shroy123ย mentioned as well...You can request it for sure..I've seen few people do and got response. Just that it's kinda still early for you..probably some administrative processing still going on..you'll surely get it.๐Ÿ‘

Ooops! Try to keep it together Ahmed..it's best if you brace yourself for the long wait, then if it comes earlier..it's all good! Pleasant surprise.๐Ÿ’it's not an easy journey..but worth it. You have to learn to be patient! All the best.
