Hey everyone,

I’m about to inquire about my I-485 status with my congressman too. I-360 approved mid January, approval letter in March but nothing after that. How should I ask about my I-485? I don’t know if it’s still in Vermont or in NBC or transferred to local office yet. I just wanna make sure it’s transferred so my file can start waiting in line for an interview...Any advise is appreciated...

Also...which documents should I send them for them to track my I-485 status with USCIS?

@Shroy123  @Stillwinning!!!😊  @Bryan12  @HolaBola31

you should wait few more weeks.. I inquired after 3 months of approval.. i would say contact your congress person next month

Hello family,

I have been following this website for a long time. I filled Vawa 2018 in August, got 3 prima facie determinations, 2 EAD cards and just filled for 3rd renewal couple days ago. Today I received email that USCIS received my correspondence but I didn't send them nothing for I360 since initially filing.What does it mean? Thank you.

I received this update for my I-360 every time my I-765 EAD renewal was approved. I don't think it means anything

It can take a while after 360 approval for it to be sent to your local office. (VSC sends it to NBC and then NBC sends to local office). Since its been about 3 months IMO you have waited enough time to inquire if it has been sent to the local office yet. Not everyone gets a courtesy letter when its transferred or a notification that it was transferred. Its nice when you do but if you dont then you should inquire about where your case is. If you are in NYC then you know there is a huge wait time for interviews there- so you want to make sure your case is at the local office waiting in line for a interview slot to open.

Thank you!!! I will give it couple more months,

I just saw this today in the USCIS page 😕“Beginning June 4, 2020, certain USCIS field offices, application support centers and asylum offices will resume non-emergency face-to-face services to the public. USCIS has enacted precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in reopened facilities:

  • Visitors may not enter a USCIS facility if they:
    • Have any symptoms of COVID-19, including cough, fever or difficulty breathing;
    • Have been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days; or
    • Have been individually directed to self-quarantine or self-isolate by a health care provider or public health official within the last 14 days.
  • Visitors may not enter the facility more than 15 minutes prior to their appointment (30 minutes for naturalization ceremonies).
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided for visitors at entry points.
  • Members of the public must wear facial coverings that cover both the mouth and nose when entering facilities. If they do not have one, USCIS may provide one or the visitor will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
  • There will be markings and physical barriers in the facility; visitors should pay close attention to these signs to ensure they follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Individuals may also have to answer health screening questions before entering a facility.
  • Individuals are encouraged to bring their own black or blue ink pens.”

@Stillwinning!!!😊 hey still winning congrats I got a letter from USCIS that my I-130 have been approved I filed that under my husband before I did vawa. Does it mean vawa has sent over my documents. I also got a letter on the adjustment status that I Should do my medical and bring it in when I receive another letter. Can u tell me if I’m any where close to an interview

If you filed VAWA less than 12 months ago then you will have the interview regarding your I-130 not about your VAWA application.

Sandra advised that I include that because USCIS was denying renewals without a fee even though renewals for C09 are suppose to be free with a pending I-485.

Yes, I did include a copy of my I-485 receipt

Yes, I sent a copy of my pending I-485 receipt but they still returned my application.

She is right,USCIS keeps sending back  some form I-765 without a fee waiver ,even when the person paid for the adjustment of status and submitted a copy of receipt along with form I-765.

Hello everyone!

I had my VAWA approved on January 16th, 2020 and I received my work permit a week and a half later. I still didn't get the 360 approval notice and nothing more happened with my case - Is that normal? I'm waiting for the approval notice to apply my I-485 Adjustment of Status.

Thanks in advance for your help! I hope you all are safe ;)
