When your i360 got approved, where you not sent a C31 EAD? Well that's the i765 being referred to!😊

You said you received an EAD last month. Thus an I-765 was filed because I-765 is the application for EAD.

No he only filed i360. attorney refused to send the two form simultaneously at the time . in the form there is portion that ask will you want an authorization when your get approved? attorney said after approval was when he will send i765 and green card application.

Your attorney is referring to C9 EAD and i485. Ok cool.👍

SSN isn't required to start work but the paycheck might be delayed until Payroll Department gets a SSN from you: "You don't need the SSN to start work. I arrived on December 19, started work on January 3 and got my SSN one week later. You can't be added to payroll without an SSN in most companies, but you can start working."

In other words, makes sense to be all set before plunging in!👍

The following page from Texas Workforce Commission says: "It is certainly legal to hire someone who is authorized to work in this country, but who does not have a social security number or who chooses not to disclose it." https://www.twc.texas.gov/news/efte/employees_without_ssns.html

That same page mentions, for example, how some employees have religious beliefs in not getting a SSN.

SSA manual has a page on Amish and Mennonites: "Other applicants may express religious concerns and want to state officially that the only reason they are applying for the number is to control the IRS-4029 and that they do not want a Social Security card mailed to them. (In some religious communities these are called control numbers, not SSNs, and individuals who have these numbers may insist that they do not have SSNs for other purposes, such as obtaining identification with the MVA.)." https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0110225035

@sandranj    I would ask Sandra, it sounds like you didn't need to file VAWA, if he did not pull his I-864 from I-485.  When you go to interview, it will most likely be your I-130 interview.  Not sure....I would bring proof of filing VAWA to interview to prove why you are not together at interview.

I went to my interview before without him. I was i130 approved already went to my interview in 2017 alone. I told the interviewer I filed vawa he said okay I’m going to put it that u didn’t show up just send me proof u filed vawa. So I did. Then after being vawa approved I’m back here again.
