are I-485 rfes common? My I-485 status saying “fingerprints were rechecked or something” after I-360 said “card is processed” - took place in mid April.

 

i was too focused on I-360 package and evidence. What are main things to go with I-485 if anyone has quick knowledge.

 

for line in local office - mine is like 2.5 years now so I seem to look to have a chance to get green card in 2-3 years. Adding 2 years of I-360 it will get me to 5 years. Sometimes I wonder if this hassle is even worth it.

C9 renewal is not free if you used a fee waiver for I-485.  It is only free if you paid the full fee for I-485.

I paid $1225 when I first submitted my vawa application with (I-360, I-765, I-131 and I-485)

Then you do not need a fee waiver, just a copy of receipt for I-485.

oh okay. I would think they will just accept the application even if I included a fee waiver when I wasn't suppose to because I also included my I-485. Thank you though

So it sounds like since you submitted fee waiver, that they did not check the I-485 receipt, and denied the fee waiver and told you to pay.  Your I-485 receipt shows if you paid or used a fee waiver.

If I apply for an I-131, my initial one expired. Do I have to pay the fee?

Nope, just submit I-485 receipt.

It's also free. Submit photocopy of I-485 receipt notice.

Question is if RFEs for I-485 (not I-360) form common? I was too focused on I-360’s supporting evidence but need to know if I-485 RFEs are happening and how often?

Dear friends - I have C9 and C31 EAD. I first came to USA on H1b and my SSN card still says “with DHS authorization allowed to work” or something like that.

 

now that I have EAD - can I remove this text from my SSN card or I have to wait for actual green card if it ever happens?

You have to wait until green card is approved to remove that text from SS card.
