Hello everybody 

i sent my vawa case package to vermont USCIS in 29th of April i want to ask

when will i get my first notice of action (NOA1) ?!

it is been more than 3 weeks now and i get nothing

Just write a simple letter saying  that you submitted form I-131 on xxxx, and until now you didn't receive the AP. Mention that your form I-131 is outside  the normal processing time as well.

Layer is telling it should be under I-360. So under c31 category. And i need to refile it.

You have a pending I-485 then C9 is the right category.The lawyer has no clue about the Immigration Law.  Ask your congressperson to inquire USCIS on your behalf.

Thank you for your answer. Yes. I screwed a bit sending  it to Chicago instead of Vermont. 
now I’m paying for my mistake.

So people. DO NOT DO THE SAME I DID OR YOU WILL BE WAITING FOR YOUR EAD FOREVER!!!

That’s  what I was thinking because it was clear to me but when she start to push me in another way and telling me I was wrong I wanted to check. 
I contacted our senator office and they did inquiry but ISCIS sent a standard answer “we are trying to process cases in time but some of them might be reviewing longer”-something like this.

 

I screwed at the very beginning sending it to Chicago instead of Vermont. My mistake. 
I sent inquiry to Vermont. Can you advice me if I did right or should I send it to NBC?

Im trying to figure out where is my case at at this point but USCIS didn’t answer me back on my expedition request I sent two months ago and I’m still waiting for the answer on my own inquiry to USCIS (our of processing time).

Im kind of confused now.

Good Morning. I have a quick question for @Sandranj or any other person who can be of help. I came across a document on the USCIS website with the categories of EAD that do not require to pay renewal fees. It so happens that C9 EAD renewal does not require renewal fee but C31 is not on the list. Does this mean that I have to pay a renewal fee for my c31 EAD renewal application? My C31 expires in 6 months and I want to go ahead and apply for renewal right away. The documents with all the EAD that do not require renewal fee is on the link below. Go to page 24 for list of EAD that do not require renewal fees, and go to page 23 for list of EAD that do not require a fee for initial application. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-765instr.pdf

Yes c09 does not require a fees because it is included with your i485. And yes c31 requires a fee for renewal. I submitted my c09 renewal 2 weeks ago and next month I am going to send renewal for my c31 along with the fees
