I had the same RFE and like you I didn’t have much. We had a joint account but he emptied that a few months into our marriage so Uscis didn’t accept that. I had two affidavits from family members who who knew about the marriage from here in the states and one from my mom from my country, she’s never been here but she knew about the marriage and she spoke with my ex husband over the phone a few times. She wrote all that down in her affidavit. I rewrote my personal affidavit, this time Very detailed. I started from how we met, the courtship, when he met my family and friends. when I met his family, what we liked to do, what we had in common, what our future plans were. Our engagement, our wedding day, our honeymoon. The gifts we bought each other, when we lived together. Our daily routines. I also wrote why we didn’t have any joint things together, this was because he was so controlling. Like yours, my ex kept most of my things when we broke and I never got them back because he said he threw them out. I wrote all that in my affidavit. I also sent in text messages from him when times were good. He used to send me messages about how much he loved me. I just got approved last week. Pour your heart out in your personal affidavit and whatever you don’t have explain why. I believe you will be approve

DOS stand for Department of State, DOS Case ID is use to paid for your green card fee once you immigrate to USA, also is the case ID assign for your consular processing case.

Vermont sent it automatically most of the time, but if more than 3 months has passed you can requested in my case i requested mine second one i never received it automatically.

Vawa applicants can file for unemployment. I did and received benefits. it does not count as public charge as it is a state benefit. Employers pay unemployment taxes to state. And, without work authorization no you cannot file because unemployment agency asks for EAD copy if not a US Citizen. They asked and I provided. Also, they send a letter to employer to verify if you are laid off or the unemployment claim you files is legit. Without work authorization, they can't verify it with employer. So yes you cannot file without EAD.. but if you have ead and are vawa applicant, you can file unemployment without any issue.

write a detailed affidavit and explain why you do not have sufficient evidences. But send what you have even a small document

I filed in January 2020. I am waiting for my EAD but have not received it as yet! Praying that I get it soon. I pray that we all get it soon.

Send everything you can. Even things that you don't think they might need. Any movie tickets, concert tickets, cards between eachother. Text messages of when things were good between you two etc. Anything that you can think of. Also yes a very detailed affidavit of why you don't have those things. If your ex has all the documents and pictures and has kept them from you that right there is a sign of abuse. So put all that info in there and be very detailed regarding your relationship!

When I went to my lawyers office in March she informed me that they were just getting approvals for VAWAs that was filed in early 2018, I did not expect an approval so soon.

Congratulations girl! Thank God it all worked out for you!!!! I am praying that mine is also as quick as yours. So far our timelines sounds very similar as I filed 

Jan 2020- sent application

March- biometrics

April-prima facia

Now I am just waiting for my EAD. Praying to God that it comes next month in June like yours did. Your post just gave me so much hope and I am truly happy for you. I also feel that things are moving a lot faster. My attorney told me the same thing when I went to her office.
