Dear Formykid ,

My observation about  cases getting RFE on 17th / 18th month and its normal. In this case, the VAWA will most probably gets APPROVED on 23rd or 25th month from the receipt date of the VAVA initial submission :). Nothing to worry about it.

If you have paid taxes for 2018 and 2019 and filed IRS tax return then I am sure you would receive it. IRS is releasing stimulus checks in batches now so hopefully you will receive it.

Did you mean about the second simulus check? I am updated that it had only passed last frienday for the senator's approval before it is to be released to the public.

I think they meant the first stimulus. Some people are still waiting for it.

It needs Senate approval and the President's signature. If the President doesn't sign it then Congress would need to override his Veto.

No i still haven’t. It’s been 291 days today.i applied in August 2019. But lot of people said I won’t get it untill the VAWA is approved as my attorney has done c31  some people say you still will get it. Let’s hope for the best. When did you file?

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all doing well! I would have a question. I'm a Vawa filler Oct 2019. My AOS is pending and before submitting Vawa, in Sept 2019 I submitted my CO9 EAD renewal. Today it's been processing for 8 months at NBC, I submitted a SR and was advised ''please be aware USCIS cannot confirm or deny the existence of your petition over the phone, in email..., you must submit your inquiry in writing form with signature''. The letter doesn't give me any address. Where should I sent my inquiry? NBC? Thank you guys!!

Hi, your question has been asked in several threads before. You will only get C31 EAD once VAWA is approved and not before. VAWA is currently taking 18-24 months approx to approve. If you have a pending I-485 then you can file EAD under C-09.

Even my lawyer had done the same mistake of filing C31 and I had lost my job as my c9 EAD got expired.

Since you had filed in Aug 2018 and its been almost 21st month running as on date. You can expect your case approved soon, possible anytime soon or in 1-4 (max) months and your new EAD C31 will be mailed to you.

I filled my c09 ead renewal on August 8 2019 and no news until now. I’ve called, sent letters to Vermont, contacted congressman several times, created inquiries and nothing has given me any info about why is taking so long.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry to hear that and I'm not that far, mine is September 20th. The thing is I don't know where to send my inquiry now, since my case was at NBC and the letter NBC sent me doesn't give me any address.. 😕

Hello all! Long time lurker first time poster. I wanted to chime in to help add to the confusion, lol.

My VAWA has been approved. 
 

Timeline:

Jan 2019- i360, 485, 765 filed

Feb 2019-PF received

March 2019- req for bio (ead)

June 2019  ead received

March 2020 ead renewal filed

May 2020   Email notification that card was being produced

 card was mailed out couple of days later

affidavits from family

insurance documents
restraining order
 

When I went to my lawyers office in March she informed me that they were just getting approvals for VAWAs that was filed in early 2018, I did not expect an approval so soon.

Congrats 🎉  I remember me and you we got approved almost the same time for vawa. Your case is moving maybe you will get the interview soon, I got my courtesy letter January 25 but I think you will probably get the interview letter in a couple of months like maybe 1-2 because in previous threats i saw many people have it like that. I wonder why mine they sent it a month after vawa approval.

your case was probably going to be approved and then they saw that you needed something. I got approved on the 18 month of waiting, some got rfs same time as i got approval. I believe it depends on the officer that has your case to see your correspondence about your rfe, some get it approved faster other longer after rfe.

I received an rfe for birth certificate for my i485 that’s why i got delayed
