Hi everyone. Am I right to think that while I485 is pending I cannot change my name (without getting married), and I can only do that once I'm a green card holder? Thanks in advance for any insights.

You submitted your I360 last year and do you really expect to have a green card now? The VAWA is taking 16/19 months to be adjudicated and then green card interview can take 12 to 20 months, you have a LONG road ahead. You can join the army until you are 42 years old.

Long road 🤦‍♂️..delay is better than never ..I guess I have to pray to God and wait patiently for my time ...you can’t do nothing about what you can’t control

Dear friends - hope all is safe and sound. Wish you all only blessings.

Has anyone had I-485 interviews recently - how long has the wait been for you since I-360 approval? Did you have any issues with retaking fingerprints or redoing medical exam?

hope for your feedback

Hi, my I-360 was approved on January 3rd, 2019. Still waiting for the interview. It's been more than 16 damn months!! I'm an NYC filer back on April 2017. I think I was really close on the queue before all of this happened ;(

No re-fingerprint request so far, only they notfified my lawyer they'll need health examination form at the interview when it's scheduled.

Thank you and god bless interview will happen soon for you. Sorry as yep it has been a rollercoaster for sure.

if okay to ask - would you know how health examination notification looked like (just a friendly letter or RFE?

as for i-485 - did you any update online for your case to be transferred to NYC office or else since I-360 approval?

God bless!

Thanks. I haven't seen the letter, my lawyer wrote me this; "They just sent the notice to advise you the medical exam needs to be submitted on the day of the interview or if they request it."  Not an RFE for sure.

For I-485, I'm lost on which office takes care of it, should be the local one, that only explains the length of the progress. For now I'd like to receive I-131 at least(applied on Jan 28) and travel again when it's safer to do so.

Good luck on your journey!
