they want my passport

Hi Guys

After waiting 18 months with 4 months ap they asked me to send my passport, after that i called them and asked them about how long it takes for visa issuance and they said 2 weeks. do you think its really 2 weeks or it will be more with the embassy in cairo.

I say... dont hold your breathe on the 2 week thing with Cairo!

Just to be clear...you've already been on AP for four months right? I'm thinking the two weeks they told you is just to process the visa, i.e. put the stupid visa stamp on the passport and yes they take that long to do this one little thing.

If you tell us more about where you are at you'll get more input though but I'm thinking 2-3 weeks is correct assuming your done with AP

I would think that since they asked for your passport, plus since you've been on AP for 4 months, they need it to put the visa in it.

The visa itself looks like a big printed sticker with your picture on it along with all your information. It takes up one page in your passport. Best of luck to you!
