Hello Everybody :) just an update. I got my interview yesterday and I did same day oath. I am in San Diego, California. I am so glad this is done! It went by pretty fast. I filed under the 5 year rule. The officer was talking really fast. I think my travel going there took longer than the actual interview. hahah there were only 8 people  waiting with me in the lobby before I was called. They also issued us the certificate there and since they did a biometric reuse, my picture on the certificate was my picture from 10 years ago. lol But it's ok... it didn't change much. hahah. Everything was so fast; after I got 6 questions correct, I was asked about my application took about 10 minutes. Then after she congratulated me, she told me to go upstairs as they were doing same day oath. There were only 4 of us in the room and then we were done. I asked her about passports and she told me I need to call them because Covid protocols might have changed again. It's ok since my son would need to have his passport renewed too. Anyway, I am so glad this is done:)

Congratulations! Mine is happening in a couple days so I'm nervous but happy to hear success story like yours. What did they asked about your application? I mean we literally filled out our lives in the application forms and submitted tons of proofs, honestly there's little else that they didn't know about us lol.

Hi Everyone!

I’m kinda new here and just wanted to find out how the N400 is going for everybody and sort of compare it with my situation.

I filed N400 under the 5-year rule last March 20, 2020. It is an online filing with National Benefits Center as the service center and Jacksonville, Florida for the local office.

Since covid happened, everything has been so slow and dragging. Ive been getting the Estimated Completion Date up until August last year which has been completely been gone and not showing up anymore on my account. Now everytime I logged in and look at my case history it would just say “Invalid Case Date Was Received and A Receipt Notice was Emailed.”

I recently sent a request about “Outside of Processing Times” but USCIS replied back that it is still within the processing times and wait for 120 days before calling USCIS.

Should I be worried about this? Anybody on the same boat?

Thank you:) After the civics, writing and reading tests,  she didn't ask me much. She only verified the information In the application and asked about my recent travels. She asked me where, how long,  and the purpose of the travels... She asked me if I file my taxes every year and that was about it. She didn't ask for any additional paperwork at all. Even though  I printed extra stuff. It was really fast,  that after my oath, it felt surreal. I even felt that I overprepared but it's ok, it is better to be overprepared than be not prepared at all. My advice  is, review your application thoroughly, she made a few changes on mine because she said I left one question blank but  as far as I remember (I filed online), I did not see that question.... but she asked me and I answered it (yes or no question, in part 12). You've got this! You can do it! :) After a looong wait and the anxiety that the pandemic brought upon me and this application process, I am so glad it is done!

I did get a Receipt Notice in email and in the mail. No biometric appointment yet since that receipt notice and it has been a year already.

My interview is tomorrow! For those who knows better than me, during the interview when they ask about the application, is it fine to look at my printed out application form to answer? I change jobs plenty of times during the years of trying to get a stable job so it's difficult to remember all the exact dates if they ask for it.

Also yes I'm anxious and probably overthinking things. Any reply will be highly appreciated!

Yes, I am filling N400 for 5 year rule. My local office is in Los Angeles.

I read your post above. Did you check if your bio has been reused? I saw some people reusing their bio, so they did not need to go to the bio appointment.

I believe your interview announcement will come soon. Your filing date is on March 20, 2020. It has been a year already.

I have not any notification about my bio being reused. I’m hoping it will be soon. I just hate this waiting game.

03/11/2021 Biometrics Appointment

03/25/2021 Interview was scheduled

Los Angeles seems to be moving fast once you get an actual biometrics appointment. My field office was Los Angeles County and I got my "interview was scheduled" status only 4 days after the biometrics appointment. Congrats, you'll be completely done in ~6 weeks. 👍
