Quick question for those that just completed their interviews, did your spouse go with you to the interview or no? With the whole covid thing, I didn't know if they were allowing spouses or not or if they are still wanting to speak/interview spouses as well or no? Ours is coming up this Wed. So just want to be as prepared as possible.

If it's only the N-400 then the spouse is never allowed at the interview, covid hasn't changed that. 3 or 5 year rule doesn't matter.

If it's a combo with a pending i-751 then yes, bring your USC spouse. Under normal circumstances the USC is also "interviewed", but now during the pandemic we have seen reports of both - some where the spouse was stopped at the security and told "we'll call you If we need you" and s/he was never needed/called in, but also reports that the spouse was interviewed as well. So it can go either way really, and you should bring your spouse just in case. This is only if you have a pending i-751.

Congratulations. I am also a Mar '20 filer from Southern California. I filed N400 in end of Mar, so hopefully I can get interview notice soon.

The time estimate seems to be a very simple formula.  What I think people are seeing is the effect of all the people whose interviews were cancelled due to the start of COVID and did not complete their process until much later.

Grrrr....I'm so annoyed with this weather. My husband's interview was scheduled for tomorrow but now the office is closed due to the snow.

According to their process, since they are closing the office, then they will automatically reschedule our interview as soon as possible but who knows when that will be now....Just GRRRRRR.

It's extra funny when you're from Scandinavia. Imagine if our countries closed down everything everytime snow would fall.. We would all be sitting isolated at home 7 months of each year. 🤣

I know right?! It's crazy to me to close when it's really not that bad in my opinion and they have kept the roads pretty darn clear.

I see many times people continue to share their timelines on forums (great!), but do not fill this information in their profile.

In your Profile, under My Timeline, under "add comment to Timeline" there is a window for N-400 data.

Filing this out will allow people to click on your Timeline next to your pic/avatar and view your time path.

MORE importantly, this data will appear in dedicated N-400 Timline on this portal for everyone to compare across many months/years, filing locations etc., here it is: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?cfl=&op5=5,10,11

Hi everyone, it's been a while.

I filed online March 16 and COVID shut everything down the next day so I never got a biometrics appointment (I'm in NYC). I've been checking myUSCIS once every couple of months but no updates until today. I now see a Biometrics Reuse notice on my documents tab from 10 days ago. No notifications, no physical copy and no other updates since. But hey, it's something! My last biometrics are from when I did ROC in early 2017.

I don't know what this means in terms of case progress, but I'm excited to see some movement after almost an entire year of nothing. Fingers crossed that we can all be done with this soon.

02/11/2021 Biometrics reuse notice

Posted

I just received a letter saying that my biometrics will be reused but there’s no update or new documents online. Originally scheduled for 03/27/2020. Does anyone know how long it will usually take for interview to be scheduled? I am abroad now and wonder when I should come back just in case. Newark office.

So I’m Newark office as well. I filed late in March 2020 and got my bio reuse only a few days ago on 2/12th (apparently so did  everyone else who filed in Newark in 2020&2021). I analyzed timelines of other Newark filers and I expect my interview between Mid-May to end of June. So for you early March filed, my GUESStimate is interview date early May to mid-June. Your interview letter arriving about 6 weeks earlier end-March to May1st. Take it with a grain of salt, but should be in a ballpark. Let’s see if I’m right.
