Am I just very blind, or did they remove the ability to send messages through the Inbox function? I could've sworn there was an option to start a new message, but I went looking for it today and the inbox just has the welcome letter and nothing else that's clickable.

Congrats for the breezy process, Giovanni!

Well, I filled mine in March; hence, I received the biometric reuse before you. Hang out there, is coming, the timeframe is getting back to normal, we just need to wait a little longer, unfortunately.

I don’t think you will receive a biometric letter most probably you’re ready to be scheduled for an interview they just don’t have a date yet.

I do think that, but with USCIS, you never know, I try to play safe, so I don't get disappointed if things take longer or if they sent me a biometric request. I know things are quite different during COVID so, I'm cheering  for an appointment ✔✔✔

The all thing was very easy and comfortable. I was in and out of the building in 40 minutes, including security check and wait.

First they verify the info they have are current, employer, job title, address, phone number, etc.

Then the test itself. If I remember correctly those were the questions:

- Who does a senator represent?

- Who vetoes bill?

- Name a branch of the government

- Who's the commander in chief?

- If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
- Before he was President, Eisenhower was a general.  What war was he in?

The officer mentioned the questions were randomly selected by the computer. Also for the writing test, I had to write on a tablet. Same for the signatures, no pen or paper. The phrase I had to write was something like "The flag is Blue White and Red".
Then some questions based on the N400, have you ever been a terrorist, nazi, communist, prostitute, drunkard. Have you ever had problems with the law, arrested, DUI, etc.

At the end he told me he will recommend me for approval and gave a form.

This morning I got a notice that I was approved and the final step is the oath and that I will be notified when it is scheduled. So compared to the green card process, and despite the delays and anxiety due COVID19, naturalization so far has been a walk in the park.

Thanks for the run down of the interview! Congrats on the approval, that's awesome. Hope you get your oath ceremony soon.

Random question, has anyone ever heard of someone getting their citizenship without an interview? I know it happens sometimes for the green card stage, curious if it ever happens with citizenship.

Had my biometrics today, I was pleasantly surprised at how seriously they're taking Covid there. Staff were all friendly, I was in and out within 40 minutes. Probably would've been a little less but there was a family in front of me who were a little flustered and held things up a little. My GC has my maiden name on but I'm taking my husbands name after our wedding ceremony in November (doing it out of order, I know!) which I thought was going to cause some issues. They made a note of the change and it ended up not being a problem. I did, however, sign with my maiden name since I'm not used to having a different last name. Hopefully that won't be an issue down the line? I'll have to practice my new signature!

Edit: Just logged into USCIS, my wait time for an interview is now August 2021 😅

Hi everyone. Happy Friday!

Got my new biometrics appointment letter. I am scheduled for September 30th. The difference with the previous one I got for March, is that this one includes a second page to fill out the  "Applicant's information worksheet"  as well as the new Covid-19 instructions, such as not going in a different day or time, go by yourself, reschedule if you are feeling sick, etc.

Hoping that everything goes smoothly after this. I am sure that my estimated time will move further that October, as it appears right now. I am at peace accepting that I wont get to vote this time. I was really looking forward to it.

Wishing that everyone's cases move ahead with no issues.

On sep 10th I went into my.uscis.gov account and sent a message directly using the "send us a message" option in the  "resources" menu. I asked about my case mentioning that the Tampa office was closed prior to the date of my original biometrics appointment, and wanted to know if it was going to be rescheduled.

They replied  on the 16th mentioning that new appointment was just issued and sent to me and that I could also get a digital copy from my documents section. The notice did not appear until 2 days later. I got the original copy via post 10 days later.

My new scheduled appointment will be next week on Sep 30th.

Hope this detailed information helps you
