Wow you’re probably one of the first N400 applicants to get a biometric appointment since the pandemic. @rva080813 check this

That is very promising! Thanks for sharing! I sent off my request just in case but really hoping for a reuse or reschedule notice in the mail soon..

Just checked by status this morning and my estimated completion date has disappeared.  It was September 2020 for a long time.  Back to waiting and watching people who filed after me get interviews at the same office as me.

I’m learning that  this is normal with the Naturalization process , my estimate time was July 2020 then August and later it disappeared. Almost everybody who applied after me is getting an interview. It probably depends on how backed up the officer that has your file.I really cannot think of any other reason.

Hang in there. I know it's tough to see other people get movement ahead of you, I saw a May filer get their biometrics date ahead of me and felt a little tug of jealousy! On the flipside, however, I saw someone going through the Atlanta office who filed in 2018 only just had their interview last month. I think it's based on whichever officer is handling your case, some work faster than others. This is a process that I think needs some automation up until a certain point!

Hi everyone - just here to add about my case. I filed in early March 2020, my biometrics appointment was scheduled for 3/23/2020.

Offices were then closed, and I too, never received another biometrics appointment. After multiple times calling and always hearing that I would receive an automatic new appointment, I called again today. The representative let me know that I should wait until October 13th to contact them about a new appointment.

I asked if I can just email a request for rescheduling - the response was that "the worse that can happen is that you end up with two appointments". I will mail the request tomorrow - hopefully this makes my case move.. Will keep you all posted.

Also, my estimated completion date remains November 2020, which I highly doubt is correct, also given that my field office would be Newark NJ, known for having long case processing times.
