N400 March 2020 Filers

It’s definitely stressful in many ways. My estimate completion time was July 2020 then August and now it disappeared.

There are interviews scheduled for May filers and none for June yet. The way USCIS is processing cases without any order, its just a matter of time that June filers will get oath notices while March filers don't even get bio-metrics. I am happy that for some, its moving fast but not at the violation of First-in-First-out policy.

I think its just due to different offices having different number of case loads. E.g. most centers in bigger cities will have longer processing times in general. It has always been like that from what I've seen.

I don't know how to cross link to a different thread, but there is a new entry in "N-400 June 2020 Filers" who just got their interview letter so if you go to the last page you should see it.

If it was just different offices then I would expect at least an equal number of March filers to be getting interviews, but there seems to be very little activity amongst us.

Yes i just saw that one...Based out of Cleveland, OH. I'm a June filer too, but based out of MA so i guess my office is much slower 😞

USCIS just released an article regarding the Furlough but I didn’t understand if it will affect our cases. i just started a new topic on the main page to see if anyone can explain better

I agree. From the activity we see, its difficult to figure out the pattern of processing. It appears to me that, may be due to the fear of furloughs, USCIS processed whatever the applications that got on hand first to avoid a huge backlog later on.

You could be right.  It makes sense to try to get as many applications as possible through before things slow down.  It may also explain why people with biometrics as much as 5 years old are having biometrics reused.  I only wish they had focused their efforts on March filers!

I filed N 400 in March 2020. A while back I received an email about bio metrics being reused and last week interview was schedule for Sep 23, 2020 in Lawrence, MA.

Chapel Hill NC, received notice of reuse of biometrics Aug 7, so far  no notice of interview appointment. Waiting anxiously.

 The only movement that I noticed for March filers is the Biometric reuse letter that was sent to some people only. Another thing was an interview scheduled for someone with I-751 pending. It’s definitely stressful but in my opinion it’s nothing to worry about and at least our cases went through the process already hopefully we won’t be affected by the USCIS recent changes because they’re going to cancel contracts with third party companies that helps them processing those cases.
