Hi everyone,

Seems like USCIS is having a webinar next week regarding the office openings https://www.uscis.gov/outreach/uscis-offices-resume-person-services

I have some issues registering for it. Hopefully they will say something good, but since it's only next week, I feel like it's not going to happen even this summer.

I spoke with a USCIS customer service agent on Monday who said that ASCs  (for biometrics) are 'likely' to open on Monday, June 22nd. Its a wait and watch game now.

Is there anybody whose biometric was reused ?
I saw in other websites people claim that their biometric was reused

I was advised my biometric could be possibly reused since they were taken in June 2019 for ROC. But it is not a given, I will know for sure hopefully soon.

It shows at the top in the "Home" area of your uscis account once you log in.

We filed for my husband on March 23, received March 27, and there is no finishing estimate anywhere in his online account. It still says something about taking 48 hours to update after a change is made. (Same thing it's said for months.) Is that normal? Could it be because we filed on paper instead of electronically?

K-1 Process:

12/04/15 - Engaged (L)

12/17/15 - K-1 submitted

12/31/15 - NOA1

02/09/16 - NOA2

03/16/16 - NVC case number assigned

03/17/16 - In transit to consulate

03/22/16 - "Ready" on CEAC tracker

04/14/16 - Received packet 3 by email

04/15/16 - Medical exam

04/28/16 - Interview - Approved!

05/25/16 - POE at Miami

07/08/16 - Married! (L)

08/09/16 - Filed for AOS

08/12/16 - Case received

I do no think it is normal. Did you pay the fee by check, and if so, was it cashed? I have never had the need to contact USCIS, but in your case it might be worth a try. You can also contact your representative and they can do that for you (in due time). On my congressperson website there is a contact form and one of the option is to inquire about immigration issues.
The only useful info I can share is that I filed on paper with the Chicago office on March 17 and within few days I got a receipt notice from the national benefit center. The website is showing Aug 2020 as completion date.

Guys, can someone help me understand the case estimated completion date ? My case filed on March 13th, online it shows estimated completion is on June 2020. My biometrics are postponed due to Covid and waiting for new appointment. How accurate is this estimated completion time ??

Yes, the check was cashed and we got the paper NOA stating it was received. But nothing else. Even with the COVID mess, I'm starting to get worried.

Ok, if you have a receipt number, it means your application didn't get lost. The USCIS website is pretty much garbage anyway, I would not rely too much on it.

In my case, it says they are reviewing the application and running a background check, and I will be called for fingerprints. I haven't heard either since March, I think a lot of folks are in the same boat.

Nothing to worry about. You got your acceptance letter, now you just need to sit back and relax until you hear from them next time (likely a biometrics appointment letter).

When you file via paper the website tend to look different than it does for us who filed online. So nothing odd there.

Hello. I am getting ready to file the n400. I have a question about part 9. It says time outside the US for the past 5 years. Do I have to put the last 5 years or do I do the last 3 since this is based on marriage? Thank you for your help.

Don't worry about the estimated completion date because its accuracy is n doubt, however we should expect some (A LOT!) delay.

Simple, did you travel outside the U.S in the past five years since you become a GC holder? The key is ..what you did since you've become a GCholder and because it is marriage base, it should be the last three years.  Hope it helps.
