For those who are done and passed the interview, did the officer ask you certain definitions of the words from the n400 application form? I did not receive a booklet, some people who shared their experiences in youtube (recent ones that got affected with Covid) say that some were asked about the vocabulary list,  I heard that sometimes they ask vocabulary  words from the application...not that I am worrying about it, I was just wondering... Also because, I didn't receive a booklet, only a notice of action that my application was received...

Thanks in advance for the input!

Will have my interview later this month, but I can say yes, you need to know section 12 vocabulary. And as far as I know, they almost always ask them. So be prepared.

The PDF of the interview letter has appeared on the website.  April 7th.

Does anyone know how the California 10 day quarantine for out of state travel affect things?  I shall have to travel in late March but will be back on the last weekend of March so will be just out of quarantine before the interview.  They don't mention anything about out of state travel, just out of USA travel in the letter.

My interview has finally been scheduled for April 5 in San Jose, CA but on March 19 we are moving to Maryland. My husband is in the military and he will be stationed there. We have everything arranged already and there is no way for us to stay here and wait for the interview. Should I come back to CA for my interview or try to reschedule? I'm not even sure when we will have  a new address in Maryland so I can't really notify USCIS about address change.

I would invest in a quick phone call to immigration attorney to potentially save you the trips back and forth. Specific question is if USCIS officer can decide on your case on April 5th IF you no longer live in that jurisdiction at the day of the interview. It’s a jurisdictional issue here. IF attorney confirms it is not a problem for USCIS I would keep my appointment in CA. Unless you are OK in delaying your case by USCIS moving your file to the respective office location handling MD State. IF your new location will be a jurisdictional problem, then ask about proper quickest way to move your case. Note, I am not advising you to call USCIS and ask (I wouldn’t, you can) as you may encounter a low tier individual with limited knowledge that selects definitions or pre-recorded responses that may or may not apply.
However, regardless of what you decide, file AR11 electronic form on the day you move, and bring printout confirmation to your interview.

Quick question, do you need to bring all the documents you've sent in with the application with you? I have a lot so I'm unsure. And what did they asked during the interview?

I brought a lot of documents with me but they only asked to see my interview letter and green card in the end! Better to be safe than sorry and delay the process was my thinking. Even though it was a lot of paper 😔

The questions I was asked was who can vote, what political party is the president, who is the president, what ocean is on the east coast, who is the speaker of the house and who signs bills to become law.

Quick question, do you need to bring all the documents you've sent in with the application with you? I have a lot so I'm unsure. And what did they asked during the interview?

Technically you should bring originals of every document you uploaded or sent when you filed your N-400, as the interview letter states this. That's a ton of papers for most of us who filed under the 3 year rule. Normally I bring everything and then some, as I'm a typical "be on the safe side" type person. But with my N-400 interview I really didn't.

I only brought the originals of the important parts and copies of them (such as the certified marriage certificate, certified divorce decree from hubby's previous marriage, both our certified/original birth certificates, every single passport we have etc), I didn't bring any originals of the evidence of bonafide marriage that I had already provided when I filed. I only brought a couple of newer bank statements, a couple of new money market statements and a few newer bills in both our names - months that I hadn't previously provided, I only brought it just in case they wanted to see some newer evidence and it really wasn't many pages at all.

I was only asked for two of my three passports (the one I used to enter the country so she could see the K-1 visa and my current valid passport), my Driver License and my current greencard. That's what she asked for before she started the interview, and then at the end I asked if there was anything else she would like to see and told her what I had with me, and the only thing she took out of my pile was the 2020 tax return me and hubby had filed just a few days prior (so no transcript available yet) and she scanned it into my file.

That was it, she never looked at any of the originals or certified copies I had with me. My guess is that USCIS has already seen these documents several times before throughout my whole immigration journey as we used the same documents for the i-129f, at the K-1 interview and at the AOS interview. So no point in looking at them again, I guess. Afterwards I was glad I didn't bother bringing all the originals of every single document I had uploaded in my online account, it would've been a lot of work for nothing. But you never know for sure what exactly they'll ask about. She had my whole file on her desk, it was at least 8 inches thick, it looked absolutely insane, no wonder she didn't want more papers.
