Is there any reason why some peoples AOS gets transfered to CSC and others dont? Is it the regional offices, random, type of visa they entered on? Looking at my local office timelines, almost everyone, wheather they came on a K3, K1, F1 or whatever seem to have interviews. I DONT want to be transfered to CSC - it seems that its a long wait at CSC. I'd rather have the interview (which seems to be 3 months and less at my local office) than be transfered to CSC and wait for 5 months + .....

Technically offices that have large backlogs are supposed to pass off the "no brainers" that do not need interviews to the Service centers to help with the workload. There are several of us that are at CSC pending the name check and that is it.

Unfortunately you do not get the option of where you go.

Our case was transferred & I have mixed feelings about it. It does seem that anyone who isn't sent to CA gets an interview fairly quicky & some that do go to CA have a long wait-which stinks! we went through an awful time with the K-1, all they need to do is look at our file & they will have all the answers they need-it really is a crazy process!

I think our case is a no-brainer so I do hope that they process it quickly-if they don't I wil snap

It took 90 days for our Noa 2, which is unherad of at VSC....then we had a lot of drama with his background check & well everything that could have gone wrong did!!! I just hope that something happens soon-we feel like we went through enough already, let us move on with our lives

my fingers are crossed that we start getting some approvals out of CSC!!! I am forcing myself to be positive!

all I can say is...at least we are with our loved ones now-waiting for the K-1 approval was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through...but at least now I can go home each night & know that he is there  it does make the waiting a little easier to deal with(a little easier).

I used to tell my man that we were going thru all of our drama to make others feel better, people would complain about things taking 30-40 days & I would just tell them to look at our timeline.....it would make them feel better immediately :P

The beneficiary was interviewed for the K1 or K3, but not the USC along with them. Plus the point of each interview is different. In simple terms, the K1/K3 is to determine if you're eligible for the visa; the AOS interview is to determine the legitimacy of the relationship, as well as the USC's ability to support the non USC.

Unfortunately, you have no choice regarding a CSC transfer or interview. It really does seem to depend on local offices. Tam ~ If your local office seems to be interviewing a fair few couples then you may be lucky and not be transferred to CSC.

You'll just have to wait and see I guess.

CSC transfers do seems to be taking longer than usual at the moment. Proof that a CSC transfer isn't the be all and end all OR a golden ticket to a GC.

My NOA 2 took 162 days.....it was awful.

I totally agree with it being a tolerable wait this time around because we can be with our honies!! I love it :)

I forget that the K1 interview was for my husband because I attended and the CO talked to me more than to him  .

I can handle waiting for the GC for a bit as long as at least the EAD is approved. I love the extra time with my husband - as does he - but he wants to be working.

We haven't had a touch, transfer, e-mail, or letter since May....
