If we file the I-130 for her son, 90 days after he arrives do we have to file for an adjustment of status and pay another fee?

Thanks

That’s not what I meant. I suggested I-130 filing because of close proximity to date when your wife got her K-1 visa. Under current circumstances it doesn’t look likely the child can get K2 and enter before June 26. You need a back up plan which is IR2 - consular processing. There’s no AOS involved.

I appreciate the feedback.  I had a Visa service in Bangkok which I like because of their proximity to the hospital, the hand holding of her son and parents.  I'm just wondering what's reasonable for a Visa service to charge to file this paperwork for you, if they have done everything else for you up to this point.  I'm not talking about US filing fees but the independent fees charged by the visa servicing firm.

I have 2 quotes right now that are considerably different.  One is US based and one is thailand based.

Thanks again!

If you can follow instructions do it yourself - I-130 is online now.

Finally got as interview at the end of June 2020.  K-2 visa was only good until late September.  They arrived in US in late August and K-2 Adjustment of Status was filed mid september.  All will going well as soon as his AOS is approved.  Coming through immigration they only asked 2 questions-Where will you live in the US and is this your mom.  Fairly simple.
