We don't have a joint checking account but we are listed as beneficiary's on each others...everything. My wife is listed as an authorized user on a CC we opened up. And we are on our cell phone plan together. Our interview is tomorrow, have a lot of paperwork ready to go. Excited and nervous.

Good Luck!!! 😃

Nevermind, I see yours was approved! Did it change online before you got the paper approval in the mail?

It did! It changed online and then I got the card about 1.5 weeks later 🙂 Finally done for the next two years!

Congratulations, the form i-485 you talking about is it the one you submitted when you filled or a new one you filled and took with you? I read people filling new i-484 and i-864 and taking to the interview with them. Is it necessary to go with new filled forms ?

From the original form. I brought a copy of it but they never asked for it.

Got approved today! Got to the office early, walked in 15 minutes before our appointment.

Got all checked in, waited maybe 5 minutes before the officer called us in. Swore an oath, he gave us a run down of what he was going to ask.

Asked about my wife's information, pretty much just verifying on the i485. Asked me my name and birthday,  if I've been to romania and when.

Then asked us to describe how we met. Then asked if we have anything else.

Gave pictures, tax documents, 401k information with beneficiary notices and beneficiary notices on our separate bank accounts.

Told us the green card will be mailed and it typically takes 4-6 weeks. Told us about the restrictions on the green card and how to take them off after two years. Told us when she can apply for citizenship. And that was basically it.

Got the new card is being produced update before we even got home.
