Im the us citizen through naturalization, we have my wife’s i-485 interview oct 5, on the list of things we need to bring to the interview. It says we need my birth certificate as well. I dont have my birth certificate. For those who already had their interviews, did the uscis officer ask for it?

If you don't have it and cannot obtain it, then provide the proof of your US citizenship.

Can someone shed some lights please. :(

Hello everyone,

Me and my Fiance got married and filed for I-485 and I-765 late March. My fiance came from Vietnam with K-1 Visa in Feb. It's now September 20th so its been 6 months already. I called USCIS and they kept saying that its still within processing time and just told me to wait. And the status only says "case received" for I-485 and "Finger print fee was received" for I-765. This is very frustrating. Is there anyone else the same? What should I do at this point?

Basically nothing but wait.
We are you? I've heard that Seattle is the worst area, I know someone filed early March and still waiting.

You will get your appointment soon, I hope. Hang in there!

Thank you so much for the information. I'm from California. That actually makes feel a bit better. I just have a bad feeling that they may have lost my paperwork. I kept calling and asking for the update. Just hope for the best here.

Remember to check the mail daily, there would be no online updates, the appointment just show up in the mail.

G'luck!

For those who have received their combo card already, how long after did it take to receive notice of your interview being scheduled? Our online tracker (which I’m aware is probably not up to date), has said ‘Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview’ since August 19.... I’m nervous that our interview has been scheduled but we just somehow haven’t been notified.

Mine has been on "Ready to Schedule" since August 19 as well. I received Combocard 10 days ago.

Just waiting..

Interview scheduling depends on your local office and how fast they are. Some can take months and months. Positive thing is that you already have the combo card!

Mine said interview ready to be scheduled and then changed to interview was scheduled. Maybe you can sign up for informed delivery by USPS? At least then you know if you get something from them so you won’t miss it. But it can take a while..

I'm from California and a fellow March filer. I've already received my combo card about 2 weeks ago.
