Got my EAD in the mail yesterday! No tracking number or anything. Status stayed as "Card Was Mailed To Me" for about a week and then it just appeared in my letterbox by Priority Mail (no signature needed).

It was a combo card and Advance parole status still as Case Was Approved.

167 days and the only notice I've had is "fingerprint fee recieved", Charlotte field office. I've called USCIS for the umpteenth time and looks like they have no idea when I'll be scheduled for a biometrics appointment. Any ideas as to where to go from here?

How did you get a USPS notification? I didn't get one.

I got the USPS notification through USPS informed delivery, on there it said there was a package coming my way with the tracking number and that it came from USCIS Lee Summit. Havent checked my post yet but the online tracker now says delivery for tomorrow :(

I just got it!!! Well not literally to my address. It was odd they sent it to my lawyer's address in NY! Lol

Also they still used my maiden name. My SSN has my married name. Lawyer said it's fine since it's a temporary card, but have to remind them to change it during my green card interview.

That means you or your lawyer submitted  your I-485 in your maiden name. It's  going to be a big hassle trust me, but yes you can change later. In most states all your IDs must match  including your SS card before you can get DLand in some states it's  a big hassle.

congratulations!!! as we know the USPS is just as bad as the USCIS. having looked at the informed delivery again the status changed from delivery tomorrow to attemped delivery today.. apparently they tried although originally it said it was still in transit and hadnt left the local post office. Also they can get into my building, so not sure what the attempted delivery is. I guess i have to hope it'll come tomorrow

Hi all, we got my husband’s combo card in the mail today! Still no word on our interview. I’ve seen it discussed a few times but not with any certainty, so I thought I’d ask.... we were naively expecting his SSN to come with the EAD since you have to have one to work here. But nope. What are we missing? We checked the box on the application requesting one. Will one come in the mail at a later date? Do we need to go to the local social security office to do something? Thanks!

You might want to wait about 10 days, then call SSA to see if you are in the system. In most cases you won't be and you'll have to apply with your local  SSA office.
