Hey y'all, I have my interview upcoming Thursday and wanted to show what I prepared for my interview.

Maybe anyone has tips or finds the way I organised everything useful for them!

I got this organizer from amazon and find it very useful!;

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072J873DF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I made a cover letter with the order of documents in this organizer. Basically I added the following documents to the organizer;

- Interview invitation

- AOS NOA's

- I129 package, NOAS and Intent to Deny

- AOS package

- Affidavit of support with RFE and extra recent paystubs

- Shared bank account and bills together

- Birth certificate of me and my husband

- Copy of his passport + original passport

- Extra documents

- 2 Facebook posts and wedding pictures, I added wedding pictures in ziplock bag because I want to use them again in the house

The red organizer is from when I went to my K1 interview and has all our past pictures, chats, flight plans and everything. I added new pictures to it since they didn't look at it during my K1 interview and I didn't want to throw away all of my hard work 🤣

wow, not sure i'm that organised! :P also from memory my AOS package was over 100pages total, so that plus everything else...thought i could keep in the filing cabinet for a while and not have to worry or look at it after the stress of filing it. Perhaps its time to pull it out and start to organise it like you did... 🙄 whatelse have i got to do?

Good luck on your interview!!

Ah thank you!

I like to organise everything lol. I think they only look at changes in your I864 and check if you answered the AOS questions with honesty. Also your shared life like bills and such. I'll update once my interview has been finished. I first have my second biometrics on Wednesday.

Once my status updated to interview scheduled I started looking online and everywhere for info and gathered those documents. Friday I got an update that my card was mailed but apparently its not mailed yet according to the USCIS live chat, but I was too excited and already applied for jobs this weekend.🤣

Did you get a tracking number? Mine says it was mailed, but I didn't get a tracking number

We got a status update after the "card was mailed to me" update.

Went from

  1. Approved
  2. Card was mailed to me
  3. Card was picked up by the USPS

#3 had the tracking number in it.

Thanks! I guess I just have to wait for another update that says "Card was picked up by USPS" ☺️

Same for me lol! It’s confusing they say it’s been mailed 🙃

Today in the mail we received the I-797 for EAD, the I-797 for AP, and the combo card!

Let us know when you receive your SSN card. I received my EAD two weeks ago and I haven't received the SSN card thus far.

We got our SSN after we got married, we still have to get the name changed on it but aren't too worried about that.

Congrats! Were both 131 & 765 approved? So it must be a combo card?

Yes both were approved, even though when we went for biometrics they were only for 845 and 765. :)

so my i131 was just approved!

i765 status also changed. It has now gone from- fingerprints were applied - new card being produced- card was mailed to me - case was approved... 🤷🏿‍♂️ guess it'll go back to new card being produced- card was mailed to me? 🙄🤪

i485 is still interview is ready to be scheduled.
