Called USCIS at 5 AM (pacific) to file an expedite request, citing financial hardship & eviction lawsuit. The agent patiently listened & entered all details to the request. Was off the call in about 18 mins. My biometrics was completed last Friday. My previous expedite requests in April & June were denied due to lack of biometrics. Hope it works this time!

Happy Monday folks! I just received email that my expedite request is approved :)

Hey all! We called to expedite a week ago, received the email, faxed everything over, and today the case status changed to "Expedite Request Approved". This sounds promising but the fine print says "We are processing your case and will send you a notice of action with our final decision." Does that mean the EAD wasn't actually approved yet but the expedite was?

anyone in the chicago area who hasnt had an expedite been approved yet?

Im in Cali. Haven't expedited. Took hubbys biometrics on 8/4 for 485 and 765, the next day both were updated to show finger prints have been taken. A week later the 485 was updated saying ready to be scheduled for interview. Since then havent gotten any updates.

Hi everyone! I entered using k1 visa and filed for AOS on March 20, 2020. Got NOA on March 26, 2020. Got my Biometrics Appointment schedule on August 5, 2020 for form I-765, I-485, and I-131.

Case status for I-485 changed to "READY FOR INTERVIEW"

Case status for I-765 and I-131 changed to "FINGERPRINTS WERE TAKEN"

I haven't received any update yet or received my EAD and travel document 😢 Anyone who has almost similar timeline as mine received your EAD and travel document? I am eager to get my travel document so I can travel and visit my family overseas, and would like to know how long should I wait after my biometrics were taken. Thank you in advance! :)

sounds like we are all in the same boat, i had my biometrics 8/6 and the case statuses changed the same as yours but since then nothing, Just curious whether the i765 will just change to approved before being approved... but i did receive a second biometrics letter last week, this time for the i765 and i131 so who knows 🤷🏿‍♂️

I also received a second biometrics letter for my i-131. Fortunately, when I was doing my first biometrics, I realized it's only for form i-485 and i-765. So I spoke to the officer and he said he'll just take another round of biometrics so I dont have to go back for the second appointment.

Also in Cali, and also have a similar timeline. I got a letter saying that they had applied my fingerprints to I-131 too on Aug 18th, but no updates since. Seems to me that they are processing EAD cards based on the date they received the application. I am tracking 250 cases around my application number, and people who sent in their application around 2/26 are getting their EAD approved now. My application was received 3/25, so I am expecting another month for my EAD to get approved unless I expedite it. I need a job to expedite it though, so I am working on that now. Good news is that they seem to have figured out the printing issue, and you will receive the physical card about a week after it gets approved.

Concurrent I-485/I-130/I-765/I-131 Filing (married to USC spouse):

4/13/2020: Received 4 late-night texts with case numbers
4/14/2020: Application fee withdrawn from my bank account

4/17/2020: Received hard copies of Receipt NOAs (I-797Cs)
4/17/2020: Requested EAD expedite
4/20/2020: EAD expedite request denied: Case in "in suspense or on hold until we receive your biometrics" +  did not provide evidence of "extreme emergent need"

8/11/2020: Biometrics appointment at the ASC in Sacramento, CA

Timeline

I've impatiently been waiting for my biometrics appointment in Austin TX for months now but only decided to call USCIS last week after I heard about someone that filed the same day I filed having their appointment this week.

So last week I called USCIS and was told not to worry, everything looks good and my appointment should be scheduled within the next two weeks.

I decided to call again today and was told my appointment was scheduled and the appointment notice was sent out on July 28th and that I missed my appointment. The lady said luckily my case has not been closed yet and now I'm waiting for a Tier 2 officer to call me back. I hope they will actually call me back..

I moved in June (just up the road) and they sent me a confirmation to my new address. Also USPS is forwarding mail to our new address.

I'm so upset but not surprised.
