We requested an expedite on Monday and faxed over documents on Thursday and today our case updated to "expedite request approved." Hopefully it'll change to EAD approved soon. I'm tentative to get too excited just yet.

Based on what could you expedite?

On August 20, 2020, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC###########, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Did you get "expedite request approved" first or did it go straight to card being produced?

We did on financial hardship. Sent over job correspondences. Also we recently put a downpayment on building a house so we sent that information over too and a letter explaining how my wife works in healthcare and wants to be able to get back to work helping during the pandemic.

March 24th filer here. Wish me luck folks, I have my biometrics tomorrow. Was very excited, before my landlord served me with eviction papers last evening, for no fault. I have been living in US for 5 years before I lost my job in September 2019 as my employer messed up my work visa extension. We managed to survive in California Bay Area with my wife's (US Citizen) meagre salary but she lost her job due to Covid in April. I lost all my savings, including 401K and have a mountain of debt. We have moved to 4 different temporary housing since September 2019 due to our poor financial situation and in May 2020 we thought we finally found a place where the landlord understood our situation. We have been dealing with Covid and the delay in processing my AOS it has caused, but yesterday we were devastated to see eviction filed on us as we couldn't pay rent for august and claimed non-payment of rent citing eviction moratorium. Unfortunately we are on month to month lease, though we verbally agreed we could stay here until one of us find a job (we explained our situation to landlord  before signing the lease and were assured we could stay here until my EAD arrives). We don't know if the law is on our side as we can't afford an attorney. We have reached out to non profit orgs but haven't received any help yet. Processing delays from USCIS has put us in a situation of eviction and inability to defend our case. I hope such situation never occur to any immigrant or a sponsoring spouse. I still have faith in America and its judicial system and am gonna give my best to fight the eviction case but I sincerely hope USICS approves my EAD sooner so I can afford to continue my fight

I’m so sorry for you guys! Good luck on your appointment tomorrow. Maybe you can try and get the EAD expedited? I know you can also try it based on financial hardship. Would be worth giving it a shot.

Morning all,

not sure if its just me but i received an email this morning from what looked like USCIS email address. The email address is correct but the content just seemed wrong and the wording in the email seemed wrong too. It told me that there had been action on my case and to sign in clicking on a blue sign in box in the email. I did not do this as i usually do not click within boxes on my phone so just deleted the email. Went onto my laptop to check USCIS and nothing had changed, went back into my phone to the bin to see if i can find the email to screenshot it for here but it has vanished! Guessing its a phishing scam... thought i would see if anyone else has had the same experience? and if not be careful i guess?
