Hi to everyone! We submitted all our initial documents at 24th of January. Today we got a letter from NVC about they need one more document from my husband (US citizen), his divorce decree. It was an option on the drop down boxes but wasn't listed as a mandatory document! 😖 He submitted this document. I'm afraid to imagine how long we'll have to wait again 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Usually, ~8 weeks again unfortunately. Some people get lucky and get reviewed quickly, but it's not the norm. Extremely disappointing, I know. I'm in my 8th week of waiting after resubmission.

Well guys,

I just received a RFE from nvc after 9 weeks of waiting. My husband's part was invalid docs and my part was incomplete, but when I try to open my part it says application error..

I can’t see what's in there. I don't know what to do!

Have you tried different browsers and/or devices? Plus, the messages take a long time to load. Click to open....and then wait! Hopefully it'll load for you. Sorry about the RFE--super disappointing and frustrating. Many of us have been there. Good luck!

Oh no :( I’m so sorry! What date did you upload? Have you been able to figure out what you’re missing?

amazing, we had to wait for almost a full month (right in the middle of Christmas Break...)

bravo :)

 Thank you Tofu and alix64,

I uploaded on January 24. My husband's divorce decree is too long so he chose to not upload it, it's 40 pages he couldn't compress it to 2mb, so we got an RFE

Good morning

I called NVC this morning to ask about interview schedule. My documents qualified on 03/11. She told me NVC schedule for interview when is available. I thought the U.S embassy in Qatar do interview schedule for my spouse.

Hi Springtime,

How super annoying :(

My husband (us citizen) had to upload his divorce certificate too and in his case, the document was 40pages long. Because we got married in France, we had to get an official French translation of it and there was no way we would pay for 40 pages of personal blabla. So we managed to get a shorter version (not easy I admit), but it worked. 3 pages.

Let us know. With the crisis accuring (almost) world wide, administration may tend to be cooler (let's hope) and so I'm sure you will get such a document.

Take much care,

Alix

Thank you so much Alix. I really appreciate your supportive words. I will tell him to contact the court. He is a little bit stubborn and chill.

Yes I had to translate the 40 pages when we got married too. and now this problem with the nvc

I hope the best for you as well and everybody who is waiting for any kind of response,

Thanks nvc alot

Just woke up to see that nvc has updated my status asking me for Additional support document  is required  my wife is living with me in Jordan since August 2018 so we were planning on going to the state together since I can afford the cost of living here for both of us 😡😡😡😡.

What killed me the most is they asked for this after accepting my civil document now it says incomplete

I'm really giving up on this process it's making my wife sick me too & I'm thinking of opening a business here and just live my life . It's the worst time of my life dealing with Uscis & Nvc . I'm done thanks alot all for all the help & information. Wish u all the best

So sorry to hear! Don’t give up. Even I’m going through a lot because of them but got no option but to wait.🥺

Hi!

Try to change browsers and it takes a really really long time to appear. Check cookies, pop-up blocker and maybe just try to come back on at a different time. My husband and I struggle with this a lot too! Hang in there!

Thank you so much TamMhmd!

Yes, it is actually not working. My husband called the nvc and the lady told him that this week the civil documents page is not working, she said last week the payment was not working.

So if anyone is struggling with the civil documents and it's giving them an error, it's because of this.

I hope they fix it soon!

NVC works with the embassy and will inform you when the interview is scheduled. However, NO interviews are being scheduled at the moment at any US embassy. So there will be a backlog once they allow interviews again, because they probably schedule the interviews that were cancelled first :(

Congrats to everyone that got DQed in this time, or at least was able to submit all documents to get the clock running!

I am so annoyed by this whole scenario. My husbands country is on lockdown, so he's unable to apply for the police certificate which is the last missing piece to submit our documents. Then even IF we get DQed at some point, and even IF the embassies open, we're facing the additional challenge that he needs to travel to a different country for his interview (the Embassy in Iraq is closed due to several attacks on the embassy in the recent past) and we don't know how soon travel will be allowed again without going in quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival, and return to the home country... argh!!!
